Welcome to the "Might as well do more" project club... fun things happen once you get a welder. Is that a flux core welder? I don't see a shielding gas tank... and those spring hangers look awfully familiar.  :eyebrow: I made mine from 6x4x3/16 and chopped the plate in half to have (almost) matching pieces. You gonna chop off the stock front hagner?

tons of progress this morning...

final shackle angle

leafs this is stock pack i might add one leaf to them.. we will see

doing some welding

meh they ok for flux cord...

cut the tips off my hangers... gonna box them in later tonight

HOW LOW CAN YOU GOOOOOOOOO

Driveshaft since i stretched it.... i am going to cut up a flange and weld it to my pinion flange as a spacer... i think its ok now but just to give me that extra confidence...

Started on the front pack stock 3 leafs no over load

added 2 more leafs... now i ran out of cut off discs i am adding 1 more leaf to make it a 6 leaf pack

im making lunch right now then i need to get more discs... my new spring bushings and wait for my marlin steering box plate

You're going to have to move your shock mount onto the axle, that shock will bottom out & get damaged in its current placement.

Nice & low!  That's the stance you're wanting.  Time for the mega rear trim, hahahahahahaha.  Been there, done that.  4Runner looks good bro!

i can come down any day next week... cause i want you to help with mine too LOL

anyways... mine is coming together i have a super busy week with school have had 2 tests and have a huge test friday in geology...

anyways i got my drivers side spring in in the front in but came across a small problem.. with the orbital eye setup the front mount is 3" wide not 2.5.... for now i am going to use some spacers to bolt it in there tight... i think i am going to end up cutting them off and making my own front hanger or using a marlin one...

My spring perch were drilled in 3 spots so i moved the axle as far forward as i could it looks dope...

I don't have everything on that side bolted down yet as i need a longer bolt and to get some washers and nuts to make a temp spacer for the front... unless someone gives me a better idea...

100% im going to need to move the steering box forward so its a good thing i ordered the kit hopefully it will be here by Saturday(my big push day)

I also need a sawzall to cut out this god damn bushing sleeve thingy on the stock springs... it is a pregnant dog but once i get that done the pass side spring goes in...

Made sure i added 3/8 extra spring to my drivers side pack to make it sit level.... I am thinking my rear is going to sit lower that my front but we will see my front packs are pretty tight...

Tomorrow plan is maybe do my rear shock mount... i have an interview tomorrow for a summer internship so i have to stay clean before it hahaha but the shock mount shouldn't take too long to do and its suppose to be close to 70...

anyways no pictures no real updates i did clean the garage up so i can sorta work in its tiny quarters...

Get to it already! Spring break is next week so I'll be dialing in my POS and curing leaks. My Marlin steering box got here quicker than the flip kits... FYI.  A sawzall or a lot of heat (to melt out the bushing) can help a ton. Hey, I cleaned my shop too! Working in a clean space can do wonders... trust me. Having great weather is also helpful although less controllable.

And so on...

I'd say Tuesday fo sizzle... I'll keep an eye on the weather too since I'm neurotic about that. Today is small stuff; HAC valve, air cleaner, fuel float, maybe fuel regulator... easy stuff 'cause I need a break!!   :cheese:

there isnt going to be much up travel... im cutting out for the stretch mainly...i could have prob got away without cutting much at all but i figured ill do it right first time instead of being on travel and my tires grabbing fenders..

once i get it leveled out we will see what happens

marlin steering box mount is coming in tomorrow so i plan on getting that done...

i have some extra flexy springs i found that i had hidden... so im gonna add those and cut up the old over load springs from the stock rear packs and add them  like a block to the rear pack... hopefully that will level it out... if not i might try a longer shackle...

i plan on being completely finished with her for awhile tomorrow or sunday....

Then its  :driving: season!!!

this is what im adding to my rear springs we will see what happens

cut up overload for a block...

archy leaf im hoping its gonna help alot... since my pack is close to flat right now..

both sides are ready to be put on and my rear is ready to go i just need a longer pin tomorrow i normally just use bolts instead of the pins with the rounded heads so ill just go to Homedepot grab 2 and see where im at... after that do the rear shocks and move my exhaust around... then get my steering box mount done... after that... go flex it out at the warehouse down the road ahhaa

Steering will be monday... you can see it needs it.

Lookin' good there, champ! I love going back to the beginning to see how muh lower (and rolled, ha ha) this has become. It's definitely more "wheeling-friendly" than before. Post pics of the steering mount; I'm starting to think I could/should have moved mine forward a bit. When are you going to stick the sliders back on?
