Wow, that's really coming up quick...  I don't think my truck will quite be BV carnage ready, but it should handle OCG like a champ.

I still really need to get to some other trails in the area though.  All I have done is HC once and OCG a few times.
'80 Pickup, 5VZ-FE engine, A340F transmission, Marlin gear drive adapter, Dual Ultimate transfer cases, 5.29 gears, Detroit rear/Lockrite front locker, 37" Goodyear MTRs, XRC8 winch, custom tube bed and armor

First of all, some "before" pix...

We had to remind the girls that DOUGHNUTS are for POLICE OFFICERS, not trucks.  Needless to say, the girls (3 total, one dugout all in shock  :shocking: ), stole the show as there were at least 300 vehicles on this particular all-club-all-vehicle cruise...

There are plenty of people that show up with stock or close to stock rigs.  There are also quite a few trails in the area that you can run stock.  You'll be fine keeping up on those trails.  Just make sure your truck is in good mechanical order and has a seatbelt for yourself & anybody riding with you.  I would also suggest bringing some tools, spare parts & belts if you have them, and some fluids (oil, gear lube, water, ATF or PS fluid).  A CB radio is also nice to have to communicate with the other rigs in your group.  I still haven't gotten a CB installed in my rig but is on the list of things to do before the Jambo.

Did you get some beefier knuckle studs since last year?

a few 30-packs of PBR
Cheez-Its and bashed fenders.

I'm hoping to have enough dough to get new shoes before then; may go with some 36" Iroks to save some money and fenders since the 37s destroy them. Or just chop 'em out... whatever.

I just bought it!  I'm excited to finally have a winch.  It's always a pain to have others winch me out of the BV Carnage exit or Patriot exit.  Now I can do it myself!

They don't make any beefer knuckle studs than the ones I'm running (ARP).  The reason one was broke was the steering arm backed itself off and wasn't tight.  That allowed one to get sheared.  I did buy the Longfield 5th stud kit and plan on getting those installed before the summer.  That should help keep the knuckle studs tight.
