I went with 35 13.5 because the 38 16.5 were to wide. They stuck out about 5" and would need AT LEAST a 3" wheel spacer to turn. so 8 - 10" out side of the fender. NOT GOOD

We are going out this week end and I will take some pic's and maybe even an action video!!!

I see you have RUFs; do you have to move the shock mount forward same as the axle?

I did not but my shock leans back. I will put some shock mounts on later. I cant see any affect with it leaning backwards.

So another update. Maybe pics tomarrow. I took off the RUF because the shackels were hitting the frame. When we bumped it up to the 5" shackle the springs would invert. No one seems to know why they would do this so I put on a set of All-Pro 4" springs I had laying around. the good - moved the axle back about 1/2 in so now my hi-steer is no longer hitting. the bad - I think my 1 1/2 chevy rides smoother. IDK if it is because I an running stock shackles or what but they SUCK. We are getting a set of 5" shackles tomarrow. MAYBE it will fix the ride if not, I have another RUF pack to try

well new shackels helped. 5" and it rides ALOT better. we went camping on thursday night. I was running 35" toyo MTs and a buddy running 31" spectors. we both walked right through 6" snow and did not even slip once. we were up there and heard and engine and saw lights. walked down to see what it was and it was a lifted wrangler on BRAND NEW 33" MTRs not making it up the road. That made me happy.

83yota

ok so i have been running into a problem. I had the ruf on and with the longer shackle the springs would invert. so we put some 4" allpros. well that made it so it would not invert. but now when i bounce my hi-steer hits the frame. so a new "IDEA" flat pitman arm with 6" springs in the front and 2" lift chevys in the rear. what do you all think?

Sparkplug

Post some pics of your front suspension. From front, both sides, and rear. I say ruf, 6 inch eye to eye shackle, move steering box as far forward as possible, hack body mount, and this will help alot. I have the same setup on my 88 sased runner, and it rides tits, with some crap 10 dollar used shocks, only complaint I have is my springs smack each other goin down the road. On you blowing HG's, I dunno wat to say about that, I myself have NEVER blown a 22r or re HG, ive ownder like 30 prob, and I run em hard. I think alot fo it has to do with how the head was installed, and not reusing the head bolts. Also making sure the head is surfaced everytime, and good quality HG. If yourt motor has one of the shitty head castings from China, you may have the problem forever, until you run out fo tolerance on head to shave it. My advice, get a rock or toyota HG, shave head flat, new Head Bolts, do the pattern for HG, but go 20 lbs, 30 lbs, 40 lbs, 50 lbs, THEN 60lbs.

So I started on the swap yesterday. I got the engine, trans, t-case, and drive lines pulled. I got the wireing all pulled apart (no pics) and have figured out what wires i am going to reuse and what wires i will remove for my future buggy build. any ways onto the parts everyone cares about the pics. today we are going to run it to the car wash and spray the engine bay and get it preped for paint and hopefuly get some paint on it before days out. sorry pics are a little out of order but you get the idea
