it wont be blue. I own a clothing line and I am going to sponsor it so it will be black and lime green

So got back on this today

Pulled the engine (never really trusted those engine hoists, So I used mine)

Then I got it inside and started cutting down the frame for repairs (I for got to take a pic before I started so this is the other side)

This is the piece I cut out (I messed it up taking the shock hoops for another rig)

This is how the frame turned out

This is most of what I got done today, but not to seem lazy I did pull the gas tank and all the gas and brake lines from the frame. hopefully tomorrow I can get the other side done and start plating the frame.

one more question; Is there any reason I cant make my lower links out of 2 pieces of tube, upper bent, with sheet metal in between with something written in it?

Look at crappy paint drawing for example

So not a big update but I did get the other side of the frame, steering box off, steering box frame mount off, and all other incidentals removed. I also removed the spare tire carrier and mount. nothing major but trying to get the frame ready for strength plates and mounting the engine install

You definently can make links like that.  Clearance is usually an issue, but if you have room and you want more strength then go for it.  Kinda like a radius arm theory.  Some use a main link with a "Y" in it to help with axle twist or rotation.
