Dude just get Johns runner the engine is brand spanking new...he spent like a grand rebuilding it....I know this info cause the guy that did the rebuilding had his shop next to wicked and he was telling me about it.....its also an auto but no worries man he used to get good gas milage hurry up so we can go wheeling :whip:
i'm workin on it, don't worry.
2 problems i've bumped into:
1. i have to have a reliable truck ASAP, if i get that 4 runner i'd have to have the suspension and axle there and ready to install that same day. (just all parts there, could take longer to install)
2. if i get one of the 4 runners in Utah, i'm having a hard time finding some airfair i can afford.
a 3rd problem, me getting the 4 runner that swampy found requires my parents being able to sell the vw by this weekend.

4 runner is what i'm hopin for, hopefully everything will fall together quickly.

i beieve u that it runs, just thought he meant it was a front axle housing. dumb me.
is the title clear on it?
and is it street legal (once it has an axle to mount the front tires, steering, and suspension.)

i think they're all the 4 door landcruisers. (fj80's?) one has a rust hole on the tailgate, and some minor surface rust in the wheel wells. one has an auto, the other 2 have manuals. 2 have broken leaf springs, don't know anything else about the other. i'll find out alot more when i go up there next week.

well my parents have found a truck that they want me to have, because of reliability, lower miles, and appearance. its a 94 suburban 4x4.
i can still wheel it, just gotta learn how to wheel a long wheelbase again.

swampy, none of the land cruiser owners will part one out. but there are about 7 82-88 land cruisers for under 3000.

all land cruisers  where called fj's   stands for "foreignjeeps" the number is what signifyes  the model,  fj40 is the jeep,  fj45 is the pickup
fj60 and 62  where the 4door type  kinda like a jeep cherokee,  and fj80's  are the sport utes  from 91  up

red  if i saw that fj45  and it was in spiffy shape  i'd probably just give you my 79pickup   ???  maybe
