I would just go with the stock replacement.  You arent running high HP or anything, and it will hold fine even with dual cases.  I ran a stock clutch in my rig for years and it was fine. Plus if you have dual cases and 4.7 gears, then you will never be riding the clutch at all while wheelin.  The best way to clean your block for painting is to have it "hot tanked" at the machine shop.  That will completely clean off all the grime and give you a clean surface for paint.

and another question... is the LCE adjustable came gear worth the $100 for a stock rebuild engine... Ive been told its great ether way especially at high altitude and if the block is decked or the head milled bt if I do it I would have to use a electric fuel pump instead of a mechanical pump

I cant say whether the adjustable cam gear is worth it or not, I would be leaning towards no.   I dont see why you would ever need an electric fuel pump though, thats for sure.  I built a hybrid 22r/20r   bored twenty over, bigger valves, port and polish, header, holley intake manifold, weber carb and a few other extras. The stock mechanical pump was just fine and I am at 4500 ft.

Im at 8000+ feet in CO... I have decided against it atleast til I do a cam but I do have headers and a weber but will prolly stick to the stock carb to save better on gas...

lookin awesome man, i just finished my motor swap a few months ago. better than replacing headgaskets and sh*t all the time.

4x4yota

the G52 blew up on me today 4th gear went out and cant use reverse unless the motor is turned off. so I drained the oil and there were decent size pieces of metal shavings on the drain plug and the oil smelt burned. the t-case is ok but some one welded the fil plug close for some reason so I couldnt refill it. after all that I installed my stock tranny back in the truck today along with my good top shift t-case...

so now my debate is taking my other tcase and buying a dual adapter and installing dual cases while Im worknig on everything else? or just hold off and sell the case? my 3rd option is to buy 1 piece at a time and do the duals later... my reason for not just doing it is because I dont go 4 wheeling enough to require dual but when I do go I do like a challenge and wish I had duals so I wouldnt ride my clutch so much and could crawl a lil slower to smooth out the ride...

what tools are needed to build the crawl box? anything special or just basic hime mechanincs tools?

so I caved and ordered the dual adapter and crossmember cant wait to get it and install it the wife gave me the go ahead since ive been talking about it for years and now can go for it so I hope its everything that they are made out to be I am always needing lower gears when Im out crawling I regeared my axles last year to 4.56 V6 3rds and thought that was enough til i went to 33s and now its like stock so dual cases will help on the trail and at work

you will love the dual cases! They are deffinately all they are made out to be.  Once you get used to the dual cases, you need to drive a rig that has duals with 4.7's in the second case, you will think your stock duals suck! ha ha

I dont remeber 100%, but I think you will have to add 8" to the front and subtract 8" from the rear. If I were you I would wait until the cases are installed to measure for driveshafts, that way you know they will come out right.

so today I got more done on the truck tore down my spare t-caseand got it all ready for my dual adapter, replaced both front spring pins since one was broken and the other was none existent, and also installed high steer, so if anyone asks if it is possible to run high steer on a stock truck tell the yes. All I did was move the front axle forward 1" to keep my tire out of my fire wall and to help clear the tie rod/oil pan, and added a 1" longer shackle to replace my POS stock shackles... now just need to mount the IFS box

I was told that a complete crawl box adds 6.5 inches so I took in my drive shafts and had 7" removed fromt the rear and 7 added to the front hope it works it would suck to have to do it again prolly should have waited but I have to have alot of it ready by this weekend since I leave for a week for work and then return to finish packing and move

yes the crawl box adds 6.5" because thats how deep it is, then you have to add the thickness of the adaptor to that. So you have another 1.5 to 2" on top of the 6.5" crawl box.  hopefully the drivelines work alright for you

my crawl box only measures 4.25" so I assume the dual adapter is 2.25" to get 6.5" I could be wrong but on the trail-gear website it says an assembled unit is 6.5 and I remember reading somewhere on marlin here the same thing

so did I but when I measured it it was only 4.25"....

any ways I added high steer back on my truck cuz the stock push pull just mad me laugh at how $#!tty it was and it clears great I moved my axle forward 1" and added a 4.5" shackle and I havent hit the oil pan yet and I dont plan on prerunning the truck. also might look into the roger brown motor mount spacers to gain a lil room with out lifting the truck but at $99 for the pair I might build my own...
