are you planning on moving your spring perches on your axle?
As of now I have the  spring pearchs moved 4" toward the third, and have them on the farthest hole so the axle is back a 1".

Just curious. :headscratch: I got a trailer so my truck will never see pavement again, what do you guys think about welding my front and rear diffs?

gtoyonrocks

It's a great idea..... I would do it in a heart beat, well the rear and then the front when you get some 30 splines.

Truck is looking better than before, keep up the good work.

If you trailer it I would definately weld the rearend. Just do a little research before doing it, idk how handy you are with a welder or anything, only reason I am saying this. A arc welder would do the best job or a good wire feed with innershield wire. Make sure to weld everything all together. weld the side and spider gears together, then weld the spiders to the carrier. When I weld diffs I pretty much blend the spider/side gears all together, whe I am done you can hardley tell there are gears in there...

SloCrawler

A little flex, checking things out. thing I need a flat pitman arm.

jrock

I'm not sure but you don't look as if you need a flat pitman :dunno: You do need a front driveshaft that takes the travel

Awesome build :eye: :eye:

That pitman picture is my truck at level. You dont think my spring will hit at shove. I found a 14" slip drive shaft for $179, waiting for a bit tell i get it

Please don't take this wrong. Did you install the RUF's in the right direction? From the pics it looks like the front axle is further back than it should be. With the RUF's, your axle should have moved 1" to 1.5" forward.  :disturbed:

I'm not sure. I believe I placed the long side on the springs foward. I do know I could of moved my front spring hanger foward more. I'm going to change my RUF  pack to 2wd ones and add some leafs, in  the next week or so.

88_Pathy

Short side forward is the right way

SloCrawler

Thanks guys, Ill check tonight. Any tech or advice is greatly appreciated.

SloCrawler

I measure my springs the short side is foward, I'm thinking it looks that way because I didn't know to move my front hanger foward an inch. It's in the stock locations.  I don't want to have to move again, possibly 3 hole perches to move it foward an inch later when I do armor. Right know its a 4 leaf pack in front, I'm going to rebuild the leafs with 2wd mains to get more arch, and total up to 6 leafs, way to soft as is and springs are flat.

tryn2Crawl

Looks like your flabed rail is gonna be preventin your rear flex..The wheel is almost it....Hope you don't go bigger on the tire size if its something you not plannin to correct...JMHO..

refering to pic #2..FYI

SloCrawler

I want to run 35 or 37 tires. I am planning on doing wheel wells in myflatbed to allow the travel. I didn't want to raise my bed any more than that trying to keep center of gravity as low as possible. I'm like the low stance.
