well i went down today  with the  intention  of putting speakers  in the doors  well while looking for a screw driver  i  thought hmm i need  more light,  so  i FINALLY  wired in the other light  at the back of the shop :shake:

after that  i started back to what i was doing and while  looking at the door  for the best place  to  put the speaker  i realized  the rust hole in the fender bothered me  so  i pulled the fender back off  i used  a small hammer  to  straighten the dents  and then  worked on the rust

yea  its bad blurry  but you get the idea

you didn't let the other paint dry all the way
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Was it cold out or humid? And what are you using for paint and clear.

Is this a metalic color, if not skip the clear.

He lives in Arkansas, it's winter, it's cold, it's always humid. When and if I paint my truck it will not be a gloss finish.

thanks Mark, yea  it was humid  my friend Jason came over and looked at my elocker  today  and i asked him since i hadnt checked here yet,  he  said  it  was too humid  for a clear coat,  he  said  for what  i was  doing it would look better without a clearcoat,  so  then  NO CLEAR COAT

yea its  just a  Royal Blue,  from a can,  it  looked  awesome  till i tried to clearcoat  :headshake:

Did it wrinkle when you cleared it? Ask AJ about that. He had that happen. You have to be carefull with enamel spray paint and coating back over it, it will sometimes lift.

Also if you use a two part polyurethane, it won't be effected by humidity or cold temps down to about 50*. Colder than that and you will have a hard time keeping it on the truck.

Lacquer has a tenancy to get milky or frost up due to humidity or cold temps.

Tougher paint and more stable for those times you need to fix a boo boo.

Boat paint!!! Seriously, Interlux Brightside is a high gloss roll on paint that smooths out real well. Search over on TTORA for it to see the "roll on paint job" thread, and check out the results. Being near Degray, some of the boat shops in town can probably get it for you.

Yep, good stuff.  Don't use clear on boats cause the salt water will take that crap right off, so the poly paint is all that goes on.

When my paint wrinkled up I had to sand that whole section back down...only way to get it to stop.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5
