Oh definitely, not even gonna argue it.

We were talking about it and when i get new shocks and put them under in a good mounting position the rear end will compress a little more.  I only have about 2-3 inches of up travel in the back before my shocks bottom out.

Besides.. Goose was operating the fork lift. Of course he was gonna stop mine lower..  jk  :haha:

you need to reinforce the front hanger back along the underside of the frame rail. that way it cant rip off. the leaf springs pulling down on it over time will cause cracks. heres what i did:

right on kiyul.  Thanks for the picture.. I think i might do something like that in the near future.

i was fortunate that mine never ripped off or broke the frame but i did have 5 small cracks under there i had to fix up when i was doing my axle swap about 2 years ago. i saw you getting off the highway a week or two ago over by mangrove.

Dude set that :pokinit: up yourself its sooo much easier than ppl think i've set up gears about a dozen or more times and not one besides a shtty ass toyota 3rd has taken a dump... saves time and money do it yourself or you'll never learn.

Well i might be able to find them, but i want to make sure the gears are set up properly

Im also not sure what im going to do about the back end.. I want to lock it up, thinking about just taking the v6 carrier out and welding the :pokinit: out of it with a 220mig welder before i set the gears up.. That way there would be no :pokinit: getting on the gears themselves.  Just kinda paranoid about how long that will last.

89sastoyo

weld it up.. I rally my welded diff like full on drifting power breaking hopping binding wheeling lol. Basically gave it hell and then some and it hasn't broke yet. I have welded like 15 diffs for myself and friends none have broken

Word hard, Keep your head in the game and if anyone gets in your way tell them you don't give a damn !

Dingman.

Ive seen it done..

Scott welded his and i watched him.. He said his has lasted a while, with no issues..  So im wondering.

I was thinking of spliting the carrier, cleaning the :pokinit: out of it and all the oil. and then either welding them from the holes in the carrier or figure out some better way.

Maybe fill it with sand and then it will be like limited slip!   :rofl2:  jk

IronClad

basicly you turn it into a minispool inside. when i welded my 14bolt up i used a vise and a giant c clamp to hold the side gears in place and welded the piss out of it.  i wouldnt weld it through the holes in the carrier.. sounds like asking for a failure just imho
