how do you like that 4.3 , plenty of power?
it's not me, it's you

4RunnerChevy

I went from 22RE to 5MGE to the 4.3.  Yes the 4.3 has plenty of power, It will burn my 36's on pavement.  The CPI puts out about 195 HP.  It was also easier to wire then the 5MGE.

66cobra

nice, mine should  be in by may i've heard mixed reviews on the 4.3 so i did some performance upgrades on mine.i knew a guy who put a 383 in his but he was always breaking something

How much clearance do you have from the 700 pan to the front driveshaft.
The statistic on sanity is that One in every four is insane, Think of your three best friends if they're ok then its you.

Very little.  In fact, I built a driveshaft, with a reduced diameter for that reason.  Under full compression it clears the shaft about 3/4 inch on the side of the pan.

I need to put in some axles (longs?),  I have a couple of runs I need to make so the exo will hold in between.  I am re-doing how things are kept in the bed.

I have a couple of supra club motor swaps to do, and hopefully it pays for what I need.  Wether or not I get the axles I have plenty of stock spares.

I have a friend coming down the first week of may (bigarms23) and we will be doing a shakedown at Hollister.  It sounds like May 5th.  Yes its a Tuesday and yes it is Cinco de Mayo.  Everyone is welcome, and it is probably just a day run.  I still have to check on any events there, on that day.

Nope

4RunnerChevy

So far it looks like Hollister is open May 5th.  If your going there any time  April 30th-May 3 then its closed due to Syncro de Mayo.

This is a funny group, Check It !

The belts came with enough web to got to the floor, and after some chatting around, I mounted them where there at.  Not too much below my shoulder, still AROUND the 10* recommendation.

Thanx

Did some work on the knuckles while I wait for bearings.

Thats all the photos for that,  I used 1/2-20 studs and threaded the knuckle, its cast, so I used a  STI tap and coil insert to increase the clamp strength.

Top it off, I have a stock Birf and locked front.  I magnafluxed the birf and didn't have any indications.  This Birf has been through hell.  Countless Hollister runs and three Rubicon runs.  I have always been light on the skinny, but its lasted.  I'll just need to try harder, I guess.
