I like the new layout but the main page doesn't display correctly at all for me.  I'm using Google Chrome (browser) and this is the only site I've used that doesn't display well.

Looks good Mike, you rock!

There is alot of gray.  Kinda gives a dark feeling, maybe change some of the borders or ? to kinda brighten things up a little!  :dunno:

The bubbles around the screennames/information/avatar in the posts is a little distracting, it keeps pulling my eyes off the posts I'm trying to read.  Making it harder for me to read the posts.  The red fonts on the dark gray background is hard to read.

Alot of small minor grammar errors, typo's, and choppy wording in the product descriptions, but I assume that those will be cleaned up over time.

Thank you for all the great comments! I'll keep your post in this thread despite its reference to the forum :gap:

As for the gray, brown, red, and orange colors, they will stay. What I can do for the chat bubbles is make their white background a couple shades closer to black to darken them up a tad.

I agree the red over gray is not a good combination. I have this on the list to resolve, but I am not sure what I will do yet.

As for the website, there have been three authors writing product descriptions. Of these, I would say I wrote 80%, TURBO wrote 15%, and CruzrDave wrote 5%. I would say my writing skills are close to great, but because I do most of the content between 1-4 AM, I often become so tired I produce simple bonehead mistakes (can you blame me?).

I would like to fix grammar and typos as fast as possible. Could you please PM me the links you have noticed?

As for choppy wording, I have intentionally begun using a more in-your-face approach based on past marketing research. I would say 90% of this is intentional, the other 10% is me staying up too late :)

Thanks for your help! Send me a PM!

Regards,
BigMike

I will have to double check for the proper price, but as for them all being the same price, YES! this is correct! We have redesigned our couplers and now only have 1 version that does not require additional mods, so all of the kits cost us nearly the same!

What happened to the "tech from the forum memebers" on the store page?

I thought about this two days ago! The current Tech section on our website needs to be themed, grouped, and organized. It is not a priority at the moment, however, but I have plans to include the information on that page. Don't worry, I still have the list and will keep updating it as well.

You'll also notice that MCI advertising banners no longer exist on this forum. I like the cleaner look without the banners but have considered placing banners at the very bottom of each page. I have not given this much thought at all (not worried about it right now).

The new website promises to yield far superior search engine rankings which will attract far more business from deeper into the market as well as outside our primary market. There will be many, many improvements on SEO within two weeks, including syndication and live bookmarks.

Ohhhh man :scared: You'll need to go back and read Reply #29 at the bottom of Page 1 for information on this. I desperately wish to make the website compatible with all types of browser software, but it has proved a real challenge for me. Less than 1% of our site visitors use Chrome, but I will be looking into Chrome-compatibility within the month. What version are you using please?

Thank you!

Sorry I must've missed that post.  I didn't realize such a fringe minority used this browser, its pretty handy!  I'm using version 1.0.154.36. It's not really a problem, the forum displays very well, it's just the main page that is a little distorted.

I actually disabled the part numbers from being displayed to prevent confusion with products that have options. I might be able to display part numbers on products that do not have options, I'll have to look into this.

We are actually out of stock on them, so I pulled them from the site.

I think having a instead of removing it from the page makes more sense. Otherwise people think the stuff is not out of stock, but no longer being sold.

This is a great idea, but I am still working on the code to allow two separate databases to talk to each through our intranet. Like I said before, we have many, many features that are still in the works!

Sorry if you already know this, just thought I'd mention it. I am running the site under OSX and Safari V 3.2.1 and every page on your actual webpage comes up fine except whatever it is I am looking at. IE when i go to the home page, i see both left and right columns in the right place but the middle part of the page is blank unless I scroll down quite a bit. its like this on all product pages as well for me. in case you didnt know :)

Less than 1% of our visitors are using Safari. I know I want to accommodate all users even cell phone users, but I gotta get stuff finished in a priority manner. Sorry! I actually have the following browsers installed on this same laptop I am writing to you from:
Internet Explorer 6.0.29
Internet Explorer 7.0.2
Firefox 3.0.5
Firefox 2.0.0.18
Opera 9.61
Safari 3.1.2

All 6 of those browsers are installed and operating on this same machine. Of these, Safari is the WORST in terms of CSS support. I plan to get Opera-related issues solved before Safari.
