Updates:
She finally sets upon her own 4 wheels again.  :best: That hy-steer looks good too.
What's left: bleed brakes, bleed steering system, lengthen steering shaft.
Those new springs didn't lift it a whole lot, but it looks better I think. I definitely need some bigger tires though.

By the way, I got that FJ80 Master Cylinder in... By far the easiest thing I have done thus far on my truck.

Yea master cylinders are easy. I thought It would be hard but its like 4 bolts and 2 brakes lines. Then you just bleed them. I like the paint murdered out!

Well they are 4" marlin springs, but I think they are the old marlin "imports". Here's a pic of them:

Once this is done, I'm probably gonna roll her as is for a little while until I come across a good deal on some 36's or 37's.
I do need to fix some stuff to make it more drivable before I get too ahead of myself.
Mainly I just need to repair my frame where it is cracked, but I also need to get new shocks, and fix the heater, and get some new motor mounts.

I think I am gonna bring her down again for another fix-all kind of deal when I am ready to install dual cases, and a new clutch, and everything that goes along with that. Somewhere along the way I'll swap in the V6 rear axle, do some more suspension stuff, definitely lockers, and probably 5.29s.
I also want to get a stereo, and install my CB radio.
Maybe I can get my truck painted, too.
And potentially even more depending on what kind of fundage I have when everything is said and done.

Edit: Oh, I almost forgot, I still need to do the IFS swap. IFS > SFA   :D :burnout:

you might want to put some longer shackles on your front springs if you want to get some flex out of em. Plus it will give you that bit of extra lift youre looking for.  :twocents:

i didnt do anything after you left, it looks "better" but it's hard to tell. i'm not gonna make an appointment yet, i'm gonna try and figure it out for my self at first.

Yeah 2" is good. I wouldnt go more than 2" over stock. I ran 3" shackles for awhile and took them off. it changed the angle too much of the front driveshaft to the 3rd and 4 wheel drive was almost impossible.

Quasi-Update:
I have had the opportunity to drive this thing around a bit, it's a little shaky with no shocks up front, and no alignment whatsoever, but it can get from A to B.
-My battery was giving me trouble for a while; I had to jump start if i wanted to drive it, and if I turned it off, I would have to jump it again. Swapped a different battery in, and now it'll start on its own. However, whenever I turn on anything in the truck (headlights, blinkers, fan) It really lugs the system, my clock becomes almost unreadable because it is so dim. And with everything there is a noticeable drop on the voltmeter. Is this a weak battery or alternator?

-Another problem is my wheels look like they are doing this right now:
       \\-0--//    (<- neat huh)
It doesn't always seem like that, but I think they are. I suspected it was because I was missing a wheel stud on the driver's side so I replaced that, and now it is just hard to tell. Anyone know what might be causing this? Brand new everything in 'em. Maybe the tires are just retarded or maybe alignment will fix it. Would having the front axle wider than the rear cause any trouble?

-My Engine is running a little choppy, and it appears to be the ignition. I hooked up a timing light to it, and managed to set the timing the best I could, but it is still misfiring. Some wires appear to be getting sparks like 2-3 seconds apart. What could be causing this? I suspect a bad coil? But I did just put new spark plugs in so maybe something is amiss there?

-Also, my valve cover seems to be leaking a lot, and it smells like it is getting into my clutch. So, I think I'm gonna put a new gasket on and adjust the valve clearance while I'm at it.

Let me know what yalls thinks.

So far, I haven't smelled any cat urine either. Rejoice.  :spin:

Sounds like bad wiring to me. Check your engine and chassis ground wires and your hot going into the fuse box.
