They say that you can do either, it comes in a spray kit though and I sprayed it. Worked really good. I did the area behind the rear seat, and also the bed rails. It hasn't chipped or faded at all.

Awesome!

To Thomas: That bed is really decent Thomas, and free is definitely a good price. Let me think about it though. I'd like to find an early style one that has the lip and the hooks, but not the flat fenders like 2WD.

To SLIVER: How much did the paint/bed liner cost?

You're in Idaho right? Yeah, I have seen how nice yours is in your pics. $200 bucks is a little steep for me anyway, I'm looking for something a little junky that I can get for cheap to free. I'm gonna end up cleaning it up and all when I paint everything.

hate to burst your bubble but that bed with the lip only came on 2wd's and only with the flat fenders, unless you get a first gen bed with the hooks, which the body lines arent quite perfect. You see some 2wds with the 4wd bubble fenders but no lips on the side. My bed is going to the scrap yard pretty soon, so if you end up wanting it hit me up asap

Yeah I was pretty sure that the 2nd gen lip would have to be a flat fendered 2WD, that's why I was thinking of going with a 1st gen. But, like you said they don't quite match up. I'm still thinking about a 4WD bed though.

Awesome!
what kit did you buy?

It's called Raptor liner, made by U-pol I think.
It runs right about $100.00 for a gallon. That price includes a free shootz(spelling) gun.
A 1 gal. kit did my bed behind the seat, bedrails, and the sides of the runner. I still have 1 quart left over.
So it goes a long ways.

I bought mine at Jones Paint and Glass in Provo, UT.

Well she's still rough around the edges, but I decided to go abuse her anyway up Powellton Rd. It was all pretty fun, until my heater hose popped off and dumped all my coolant on my motor. Of course I didn't realize what was happening at first, until it started steaming in the cab because of the water evaporating. :smack: But, after about 6 bottles of water and a little antifreeze, she drove home fine.

The test drive helped me figure out what things I need to get done next.
-Make sure all radiator hoses are tight, and functional. Also, I need a new heater valve, the one I have is stuck.
-Shocks would be really nice.
-Definitely need to trim. So I'm gonna throw on my 2WD fenders and fire up the sawzall.
-Need to get my spare tire mounted.
-A big tool box in the bed would be nice.
-I need to put my new motor mounts on.
-Have front end aligned.
I'd like to get some of that done and then embark on a real wheeling trip.

Ordered up 12" Bilsteins and hoops off TG today. I also ordered a backing plate eliminator. So I think I am gonna take the hoops to a welding shop and have them cut my old towers off, plate the frame up good, and weld up the hoops. I would do it myself, but I'm a little nervous about my already cracking frame.

I've decided I want to sell this thing. I want a get a more daily drivable truck. Looking into a Extended Cab 3rd Gen. with a 22RE. Maybe I'll turn it into a project after this semester, but I'll probably keep it stock for a while, maybe 33's and some performance mods. Sad to see this thing go, I've got a lot of time into it.
