i absolutely love my dual stock cases. 1st gear double low is perfect for anywhere i have needed to go.  the ideal setup would be tripple  cases, the first two 2.28 and the third one 4.7, cause then you could go extremely freakin' slow if you need to, or everything inbetween :o

lookin good! its funny how with toyotas you make a list of stuff you want to do to your truck, spend a crapload of money and do it all, and then make another list! i have the same problem lol. there will always be a list, these trucks are never finished

That is the TRUTH!! But its a great addiction!! :beerchug:

I'd just Aussie F/R simple as hell to setup.

But i'm setting up my own 5.29's so why not have a detriot out back?? :dunno:

IMO i wouldn't get the 4.7's i had them and it was too low. But Thats just the type of wheeling i do lot more trails that rocks so i didn't really need it.

Thats what I was debating but i love rocks..... whenever i get a chance i go out of my way to flex out on one

detriots are tuffer though...... but then again i could get to aussie's for the price of one detroit...... hmmmm, too many damn choices!!

Well after shearing that 21 stock input so easily i think the 23 spline beef would be better!! with an MC R10 of course

detroits are smooth and silent supposedly, ive never ran one though. they arent supposed to clack and make your truck lurch. thats why they are 500$ instead of like 250 or 300. unless you are getting a selectable for the rear, a detroit would be your best bet.  as for the front, get a ratcheting locker or a selectable or limited slip or something.  i dont know if you have ever driven a truck with full lockers front and rear, but you CANNOT TURN!!! some people say "oh well ill just get out and unlock my hubs when i need to turn." who the hell wants to unlock their hubs every time they want to turn?  with full lockers front and rear your steering wheel almost just locks straight    so keep that in mind!

your input shaft broke because its had 20 years of abuse on it. New 21 spline is plenty strong or a 23 spline 2.28.

well I have decided to hold off on the 4.7's for a while.... i'd rather get other parts!
So its 23 total spline input and 23 spline R10 adapter for now!!!  I hope my check on friday is fat so i can order those up!!!  I have a couple forward shifts and one top shift sittin in the garage so i will build duals out of those and then have an extra AA dual case set up!  :eyebrow:

an aussie in the rear is smoother than a detroit, detroit really load up and pop sometimes and jerk the truck.  Mine is really nice in the front though

in the rear case.... 23 spline input in the rear case because the front of the coupler is eternally splined..... therefore i can run a 23 in the rear case and a 21 in the front case because i have a W56 and not a turbo/V6 transmission..... :beerchug:

ya im not getting this either, unless he buys a 23 spline 2.28 gear like the v6 guys have to do.
only options:
1. 2.28 (21 first case), 2.28 (21 second case)
2. 2.28 (21 first case), 2.28 (23 spline turbo gear second case unless using a turbo case all together)
3. 2.28 (21 first case), 4.7 (23 spline second case)

MC sells the 2.28 23spl Input Gear and 4.7 23spl input

I think what they mean is you can't have a 23 spl input on the front case.... unless using a turbo trans with a 23spl input?

ya, no matter what you cant run a 23 spline front cause you have a W56. as far as the rear case goes you can run a 21 or 23 depending on what you want to do. if you wanted to do stock duals but some extra strength you could buy the 23 spline MC07 (R10) or whatever and then buy the 23 spline 2.28 gear. ive never heard of anyone doing that. or you could just run both cases at 21 spline and do stock duals. you also have the option of running a a 23 spline adapter and if you came up on a turbo gear drive case thats behind a R151F thats 23 spline factory, you could use that and then eventually get a 23 spline 4.7 later.

in the rear case.... 23 spline input in the rear case because the front of the coupler is eternally splined..... therefore i can run a 23 in the rear case and a 21 in the front case because i have a W56 and not a turbo/V6 transmission..... :beerchug:

isnt that what i said??? someone correct me if i am wrong please!   :hammerhead:

21 TOTAL SPLINE in the FRONT CASE and 23 TOTAL SPLINE in the REAR CASE
