Man I hate it when stuff doesn't arrive when it's supposed to... when I ordered my rockcrawler rims 3 arrived on time and the other 2 ended up on the other side of the country! Though I have ordered stuff from the US before had arrive in 3 days  :yikes:

Well at least you got some stuff done on the w/end, will be good to see some :snapshot: of this thing out on the trails though

yeah.... its just one of those patience tests AGAIN...... but it will be done right!  I will have it going this week for sure as long as my shackle hangers arrive!!  I will definately get some nice pics of testing her out on the trails!!! I cant hardly wait!

I like the way the shocks are mounted at an angle in the rear. I haven't seen that before. This rig looks like its ready for all sorts of abuse now. I bet your stoked to wheel it.

Your setup is looking great... I've never seen shocks mounted on the side of the housing on the rear like that before, is that because of the length of the shocks?

I can see how it would work well and help out with axle wrap as well though...

im just curious...why did you make the lower shock mount that way? if the lower shock bolt is perpendicular to the axle housing it wouldnt bind at all when you flex.  the rear axle i mean

yes, its the length of the shocks and i wanted to control axle wrap as much as possible even though i will be setting up a antiwrap bar within a few months.

Do you not agree with the way i mounted them?

well think of it this way, the bottom mount allows movement front to back during compression and extension. then the top mount allows side to side movement! Therefore it has both side to side and front to back movement for a binding free condition!   I also did that because i plan on swapping out to a johnny joint shackle hanger once i get other stuff tuned in.

im gonna tell my boss when i get to work that i HAVE TO FINISH MY TOY!!!  So if its not totally legal tomorrow night then thursday night for sure! but I have a early B-day lunch with my sisters and my mother thursday at 12:30 so..... excuse for my boss!   And a little bit of bad news..... my CAT came back with intake valve problems....... im pissed! the guy that we have had doing our valve jobs has fucked up like 4 heads since ive been there.... i thought i was installing a new/refurbished head but he did a floppin' valve job on it and now it has excessive blowby and air pushing out of the intake manifold.... we will uncover that tomorrow.....

thanks for everyone's advice and support.... it means alot to me! i am still depressed even moreso now cuz some floppin' kids stole TWO of my heeler pups out of my back yard! and i know it was them because they took the two they told me they liked after i let them see them on sunday... my only floppin' day off!  i HATE THEIVES! i wanna cut their damn hands off and let them suffer for what they have done.... i have worked so hard for all of my stuff and achievments and people that steal from me shall pay!  If i dont get to take care of it, GOD WILL!

but on a good note truck will be running tomorrow! sorry about all the drama folks! i am just really stressed out.....

Dang, that's pretty messed up about the pups. What punk @$$ kids. I got some parts from a SAS kit ripped off out of my dang garage. That got me pretty heated.
Don't sweat it too much unless you can do something about it. Otherwise, it ain't worth it. Just get the rig done.  :driving:

if you know they got the pup's (you can see them)  I would go over there with the cops and get them back and if they dont help ya or say they cant do anything about it then CALL THE ANIMAL POLICE  and tell them there are some pup's of yours that someone stole and is misstreating  them and you need help they MUST come to the aid of the animals regardless of the situation I repeat "REGARDLESS OF THE SITUATION"

yeah i think i know which house it is..... 824B   but i have to see or hear them first... cant prove it yet which really ticks me off...... i mean they showed up wanting to check them out and i let them play with the pups for about 10 minutes before i said so you kids gonna buy one or go talk to your mom or what?  and somehow the next day the two that they STATED they liked THE MOST come up missing...... these dogs arent snuggley mellow lap dogs!! they are aggressive heelin machines that need to have an owner who knows about these kind of dogs...... DINGO HEELER COLLIE....... just think about the energy level in these things.....  I took Pepper out on a walk around the surrounding blocks last night in the snow and there was only one house she stopped to sniff the recycle bins like she reconized the scent of the boys.... and there were juice bottles and younger kid lookin stuff in there too.....  so I will proceed to investigate untill i figure this out! if they really wanted on but didnt have the full amount i would have givin them a smokin deal! but no, instead they have to TRESPASS into MY backyard and STEAL not one but TWO of MY PUPS! Thats just BS, anyone who steals animals is a POS in my book.... and there is no way to get out of saying they are theirs when i find them because i have pictures of all 10!!!
I have found myself taking pics of everything lately..... its good to have proof like that for future references!

well I am glad to see that you took some pictures of the pups not everyone thinks of that but if they DO HAVE THEM THEN PRESS CHARGES TO THE FULLEST
IF YOUR LOOKING OUT THE FRONT OF YOUR 4X4 AND YOU CANT SEE THEN JUST TURN ON YOUR WIPERS. BUT THEN THINGS GET ALL MESSED UP LIKE IN LIFE.

WHEN YOU GET TO THE END OF YOUR ROPE JUST THINK THAT ALONG TIME AGO  YOU WERE THE FASTEST LITTLE SWIMMER TO THE EGG

oh believe me i will!!! thats just flat out horsepucky.....

But on a good note, I made some progress tonight! Got all of the welding done except for bumstops and found out that i had to repack my front springs.... they sat almost perfectly flat!! soooo i pulled them off, took my old set of 84 rears, cut two leafs out of each pack and threw them in the other set.... painted them and installed them, set her down and sits PERFECT!! got the rear tabs welded and rear diff armor welded up and painted the frame/axle..... here are some pics

ill tell your reason why your last shackles weren't working... your tubes are too far back on the frame... good to see you got it fixed though.

yeah i set them up for the shorter springs but that made my drag link bind so i used my longer ones and then the tube in the frame was to far forward so i slapped that shackle hanger under the frame and used boomerangs!

Here's what i have left:

-Bleed the brakes
-Fill diffs with oil
-align steering
-tighten stabilizer
-Finish installing fuel tank
-slap the bed on and hook up tail lights
-install front driveline
-install mud flaps
-setup bumpstops next paycheck........
then drive that beast!  Sucks though cuz I just got paid on the 5th and i have less than $50 in my account after paying bills and getting my parts................ stress stress stress!! LOL! oh well, it'll work itself out... it somehow always does!
