Well I haven't touched :pokinit: on this pile besides pulling the welded spider/side gears out of another 14B carrier I have had laying around. I'm going to replace the Detroit with the welded spiders to get rid of the (excessive to me) backlash that is present in all Detroit lockers which plays a part in breaking my output shafts.

You sure its not your its not the 5500 RPM that breaks those?
You'll never take me alive

I mounted my fuel tank finally today and it's about perfect height that I will be able to still use my tool box which is pretty cool.

Yea they're the same stock red fenders that match the cab. The hood is red now and the wheels are black

But I do have a German Pointer also. She's half Black Lab so she's black and white instead.

Got some 3 leaf + overload 63" Chevy springs to replace my old, 2 leaf + overload Chevy springs. The 2 leaf + overload springs have worked awesome for me for since I built my first Xtra Cab in highschool. Probably the BEST $20 I have ever spent in my life... But they are old, have seen a lot of :pokinit: and are about wore out, so I figured it was time to retire them and get a new set of springs. My truck acquired a pretty good squat even empty, then throw all my camping gear in the bed and it had a bad case of the Cali Lean. The new springs took care of that and just about leveled it out.

My garage isn't wide enough to get a full side shot

New springs

They gave me a different shackle angle which I like better

Hey jud, what don't you like about the h2 wheels? I have them on my rig an have had some second thought about them. I've only been on one run with them an i can already tell i dont like the back spacing. I damn near broke my hub on a log. thanks

im gonna have to go with the backspacing on the H2's... probably rub spring in the front and frame in the rear ha

Jud

They are narrow but the work good on my truck. They don't hold a bead very well, at least not with 39.5x13.50R17 IROKs. They are designed for a heavy 3/4 ton truck that has D rated tires which are 55psi. max. So they don't have very good/big bead retainers to hold a bead at low pressures. in the rocks i have to run about 10-15psi. otherwise they'll burp air easily and they get soo flat they loose the bead. Good thing about them is it's pretty easy to seat a bead on these wheels lol.

They do burp air pretty bad, I was at 8psi in the snow an about 30min into the run i had one tire at 2psi another at 4psi. I've been thinking about using a 1 inch spacer in the front to try an save my hubs. Or i just need to sell them an  step it up to some new bead locks with a better back spacing.
