All of your questions were answered in the thread. Theyre the same tires, if he got new ones he for sure would have put that in here

Got ancey to work on this thing today, so I took the two bottom leafs out of my front spring pack to lower it a little. Then Matt and I were looking at it and decided to put the shortest spring (which was the very bottom "helper" spring) and put it on the top of the pack. Reason being is I've seen more than a few front main leafs break right at the ubolt plate, now the ubolt plate rubs against the short spring instead of the main leaf.

I am going to take the 1" lift blocks out of the rearend probably tomarrow and mount my front shocks a little higher so they wont limit droop anymore.
Quote from: Jud on July 24, 2010, 12:28:27 AM
Took the 1" lift blocks out of the rear, It sits at a way better height now. Frame was at 29" which is way tooo high. I also discovered that my brand new rear ujoint is blown out, Both yokes were fucked when I broke the ujoint at Moonrocks. A buddy gave me a IFS CV, so I am going to rebuild my driveline with that instead of getting two new yokes and a ujoint.

Some pics from Niagara Rim this weekend. Didn't break anything but I did bend a BBCS shock. A basket ball sized rock went through my right rear wheel well, at least that was my messed up shock.

It does just fine. I've towed 2 rigs a few times now and no problems yet. They don't slow me down anymore than a single rig/trailer setup does besides having to take it really slow down hills. I can hold 3rd gear, about 2700rpm, about 45mph just fine up any long grade then do 70mph+ on the freeway.

Not entirely. Because he didnt mention before that he lowered it 3", yea i read he messed with the pack and wanted to build a new ubolt plate but nothing about how much lower it was. TO me it sounded like he did someting else besides pull a 1" block.

And again about the tires, more than just 1 tire look low on tread for as long as hes had the tires.

I took it out last week. I got tired of how screwed up it is. It is all pitted, foggy and overspray all over it. Plus no windshield is wayy better in the summer.

Whatever, It doesnt matter. What I meant to say didnt come across in the way I typed it. Thats on me so cool.

I guess what I meant was that I dindt realize the work done last page amounted to the 3" you dropped. I thought it took other work that you hadnt posted about.

UHHH OHHH

Got over haggard/bulky sheet metal so I hacked away this evening.

I need to build new motor mounts before I can drive it again and really wasn't looking forward to working around/in the stock fender wells so I figured this is a good time to finally tube out the front.

Soo

-motor mounts
-front clip
-new rear shocks because of bent BBCS
-MAYBE a F150 tank or fuel cell
-take all the egr and any unneeded vaccum lines off

Got the old front body mounts cut off, old motor mounts out and motor pretty much set where I want it. I'm raising it about 1/4-1/2" kinda hard to tell. Raising just for more clearance when I link it later on down the road...

Kinda sucks that my gun/liner/cable on my welder fagged off a few weeks back so I am waiting on my new gun/liner/cable and adapter because they don't make any cables with the right coupler anymore. Hopefully that will come in by friday so I can make some progress over the weekend.
