Here's some pics of the motor mounts. I moved the motor up a little for more clearance for when I eventually link it. They're just my old RockStomper mounts welded to the stock motor mount brackets then some 1.75x.120 tubing left over from my cage and some random angle iron I had in my bucket of fun. I love not paying anything while building new stuff...

Drivers Side

Passenger Side

I noticed my frame was tweaking a little right on this bend so I laid some 1.5"x1/4" flat steel down and weldedit to the frame to dispurse some force away from the center of the bend.

Probably gonna leave the intake here, I may move the evap canister and raise the intake a little higher.

I cut the cage off, welded all the back sides of the joints, painted it black and welded it back on. I like it alot better black...

Now I'm REALLY debating on narrowing the front end when I start bending tube or keeping it the full width of the stock hood.

Yea but everybody and their brothers dovenose everything these days. Maybe I'll make it narrower that stock but still not fully pinched...

shits looking pretty good. glad to hear you dialed in the cage finally.... pinch it and call it a day, like what jimbo said. you will end up doing down the road when your not happy with the half pinch. do it right the first time and dont look back

Jud

Well having no money means SLOW progress.

I built a battery tray the other day and finally used some old garage door opener chain track T iron I've had around forever to build a radiator mount. I also got a lot of the wiring re taped up and the AFM wire extended.

Here's a few pics of the battery tray, I used some angle iron I had laying around. I know a ratchet strap tiedown is "ghetto" but the way I've got it setup it's legit.

On my Cage?

I used just shy of 4 sticks with enough left over to build a fender hoop for my trailer and have a few couple foot pieces laying around.

Pulled it off the trailer and back into the yard yesterday. I got some new (used) 14" ProComp ES3000's from a buddy for the rear, I'm hoping they wont limit droop but we will see. I finally got a EQ (ARC Audio XEQ) for my stereo, I've been running my ipod straight into my amps but you can only get so much out of that because of the ipod having close to 0 output power. That also cleaned up alot of stereo wiring, I use to have to run five RCA Y's to make up all 6 channels. Now I have 2 channels going into the EQ then the 6 channels coming out of that. I also upgraded from my entry level JL RCA's to JL Marine RCA's, they should hold up to weather alot better (even though I've never had a problem with it)

I also put my half doors on it and started to pinch the front fenders in. I'm going to cut the hood probably tomarrow.

No tube yet, I don't have a bender and it will be a while before I can buy one. I moved back to Modesto from Chico a while ago and I have no buddies down here with benders, super wack.

Got a little further on it today. The headlight mounts are temporary until I get a bender and tube. I ended up self tapping my fender to my hood and cut the fenders in half right about at the fire wall.

Yeap it's the stop radiator. I really wanna get a side tank radiator for it, Never had a overheating problem, I just like the idea that if the coolant gets low it'll still flow through the fins.
