well it looks like there is at least a decent chance that ill be headed over to MCR

im trying to convince my dad to take his diesel over and tow the runner, so i wont bother to put a windshield in the runner yet. so that means its like another $400 i can spend on something else (ie tires, spare axles, etc...)

so my biggest things to get ready are:
windshield (maybe) my dad wants one...
sliders (ill probly use song 2.5" galvanized sitting in my backyard for now, i know it sucks, but better than nothing)
check out engine
register and insure reeda

thats it for now...ill add more later on.

also maybe build at least a rear bumper... :dunno:

galvanized is REALLY bad to breath. One of my wheeling buddies used to weld galvanized out on his ranch before he knew any better. Now if he gets worked up he coughs up blood. :yikes: If you grind off all the galvanized around the weld I bet you would be at least a little better off.

Lame! I would have just fixed up Reeda or fixed the red truck and used it. So now you will have neither Reeda or the red truck?

correct...so because your asking...heres teh basic plan:

i have a 1989 Ford Ranger that i will be driving for as long as i need to :gap:

so im gonna save my money (for the most part) until i find a clean toy that strikes my interest and then buy it and hopefully have some cash to right away drop on it and be :bling:

or maybe ill just build up the Danger... :dunno:

as always its me, so stuff will change...

yea, im kinda bummed i wont get to thrash reeda, but the danger is pretty beat down too, so eh. whatever. :dunno: ill rally it like mad  TTB...ill start a buildup for that thing in a little while.

My friend tried building a 90 ranger once. 4 inch lift, 33s, and two blown rear ends later he t-boned a new chevy and totaled it. It was a fun truck, but, in my opinion, it was best left stock because once it was lifted it ate tires fast (ttb front axles... not a good idea to lift them) and was pretty unstable. Plus the rear axles do not like larger tires. That truck was a blast! It did not have a straight body panel on it because we beat the snot out of it when it was stock. Lots of good memories of that ranger. It was a 2.9 v-6 and that engine never let us down although the tranny and rear axle did (multiple times). We used to baja it like none other! It was so much fun blasting down desert roads at 65-80 mph (when it was stock, couldn't do it once it was lifted)... oh wow, it was a good truck.

yup, from what i know this ones got a recently rebuilt 2.9 v6 in it. stock height, gonna swap in an exploder rear end at some point; LSD and itll fix the problem with brakes. gonna buy new tires in probly like amonth...haha...the smallest size KM2s

not the straightest thing ever but, i really dont care much. ill only make it worse. :dunno: i want to paint it white with two black racing stripes

damn dude...waht great timing huh?

He was on his way to Boise, ID (8 hour drive) with our buddy Soyer in his 99 Ranger with a KX 250 and YZF250 in the bed.
They were in Wieser, ID (1.5 hours from Boise) Soyer was driving and my brother was sleeping in the pass seat. Soyer looked to his left to see the sunrise for a second (at roughly 7am MST) when he looked back a huge Deer, Elk or Moose was in the road... he locked up the brakes and swerved to towards the ditch (doing 60mph btw) hit the ditch and it sucked him completely in the ditch towards someones driveway that had a colvurt going under it. They hit the culvurt and the 90* angled driveway doing 50-60mph and it lauched the up and over the driveway and into the bushes on the other side.

It completely totalled the truck.
My brother sustained minor injuries and a bruised right eye from it hitting the dash.
Soyer only sustained minor bruises.
The Dirtbikes were fine.

lesson is... dont drive tired, on a highway your not familiar with early morning, or on that mountainous highway they took.

they are now down in Boise, ID with two dirtbikes and no ride home.

they have to have blinkers, lisence plates, insurance, horn and a headlight to be legal on the highway.
