Thing about rear disc, I want to maintain my rear e-brake, that's why I like the front range kit. If I just go rear disc then I need to spend the extra $ on a t-case e-brake, by then I would have nearly spent the same as a full float kit.

Use calipers that have an e-brake. I'm not sure which ones, but there are a couple that will work.

I think you just need to wheel this or send me the money you'd spend on yours and I'll tell ya what I buy and how it works  :cheese:

90s taurus
80s monte carlo
70s/80s Eldorado
80s mustang SVO
90s Isuzu Rodeo

there are a ton of ebrake calipers that have been used/can be used but you have to do a little digging on which rotors to use with which calipers. (thick IFS or thin SA)
it's in the FAQ on pirate somewhere...
FWIW, I'm using stock fronts and a tcase ebrake. :twocents:

Its all good man. Well I went on a run yesterday morning but got called into work not far into the run so I had to leave the trail way early :( I am still trying to get the other pics.

http://s182.photobucket.com/albums/x229/Mawnov/New%20toy/?action=view&current=MVI_1463.flv

When I got the message that I had to return to work I had just fallen onto my driver side in a mud puddle. When I get the other pictures I will post them up. I will defiantly be going back out to that trail.

I'm doing some more research for just a rear disc brake swap.

A problem I have had recently, My rear case leaking from the shifter....

Note the oil coming from the ball joint of the shifter, not the base where it connects to the case.

From jan-march it seemed to boil over 2 maybe 3 times. Each time it wasnt until my windshield and head liner were covered with gear oil did I notice I had a problem. Since then I have learned to pay more attention to the whole in my floor and the top of my transfer case. I will usually catch it in time, pull over and let things cool down. It became more frequent after I got my exhaust done. I believe my cat is to close and am going to try and get it moved this week. Any other ideas/ suggestions?

Well My rear t-case has still been leaking, dont know why. I have asked Inch worm, Dave at Dave's off road. No one can figure it out. I went on a trail ride this past sunday in and around the local national forest. I was with my buddy and his FJ, and 2 full size trucks. We had some fun, nothing to technical, but still fun. I walked up and down the hard stuff with the rear case in low, never touched a peddle.

The top 2 dont give the hill justice, it was pretty steep.

My rear window stopped working again. But luckily I had a fix to that on order. A 12VoltGuy 4runner rear window harness. Sadly I wont be doing much of anything the rest of this month, work has me all tied up and on a real short leash. I have a few more things that will hopefully be arriving soon.

Got a new t-case in the mail this past Friday, I got it installed today. Finialy got around to installing my Longs 3 weeks ago.

I get out of the Army and Louisiana in 10 months, 6 if I'm lucky. Since I have to drive back to Cali regardless I figure I am going to make the best of it. I am currently doing some research for a killer wheeling road trip. I am open to any and all suggestions for places to stop and wheel. I would welcome any trail guides as well. The only thing is I dont want to head east from here, north, west and south only!

I want to! I will need to find the time to. I figure 1 of my many 4 day weekends to include 2 travel days, and 2 days at the park. I cant think of 1 I dont have plans for yet until the new year. But I have every intention of heading that way sooner or later.

So on a whim yesterday I went back to the near by trail with a guy that got back from Iraq recently. He has a nicely set up bronco 2, with full widths, spools and 40's.

So I started up the middle line.

The surface was dry, the rest was not.

At this point i gave up and let my buddy winch me out. I had been trying for a good 10-15 min. The pics do not do this justice, It was atleast a 30% climb if not 45%. When I got winched out I was leaning 20% to the side as well.

What it looked like when i was done.

With all that I learned my rear E-locker was not engaging :maddest: If it was working I would have made it up the slope.

I have a 2 week training exercise coming up but after that I should be getting some more small projects done.
