Nice carnage! The black paint on my truck is SHITE too. I'm literally peeling it off in huge sheets. Kyle can vouch for me since he was helping me peel it off :D

What do you plan on doing with the paint? My idea was to just get like a 600 dollar Earl Scheib paint job that will hold up much better than stupid roll on boat paint. Live and learn I guess...

It's kinda funny actually. I put all this work into making the boat paint look good and what happens? Takes nearly a third of the time to peel all that hard work off. I think I am actually going to paint the truck desert tan. This truck just made me think about how sick it will be to paint EVERYTHING tan, bumpers, sliders, cage, axles, frame, wheels etc.

ya dude that would be sick. Itd be really nice to spray paint my truck...i just dont know if i can do that since its such a new truck. spray paint is nice tho cause its like, oh i got a dent, bondo it and then paint right over it like nothing happened and itd be nice. I may just do that... I dont know what i want to do.

im getting pretty over wheelin and the whole 16mpg in town (same as my v6) isnt very tight for when i drive like 45 miles a day. Im actually really over it. I also really dont like the 3rz. If I were to EVER do a motor swap it would for sure be the 3.4.... it is such a better motor in so many ways. Sure it may cost more but its so worth it in the end.

Chris, I say leave it how it is.  It's just one of those things that's not going to be worth the effort, especially if you're thinking about putting it on hold/selling it.

The only thing is though is like I have said, it is not a nice paint job at all. The roof is completely faded, the bedsides are faded really bad, theres scratches that wax will not even take out, and theyre not even deep at all, it only looks nice from a distance or when its wet.

EDIT:
Its actually not that bad. I bet I can get something to make it look nice again, i just dont know what to get. Maybe wet sand it?

Buff and polish, mang.

I dont think buffing and polishing will do that great on the roof...the clear coat is like fading away. When i did try to buff it, the wax got stuck in the pores of the clear coat and made it look worse

a synthetic wax would be your best bet.

really does wonders on black plastic, mirrors handles ect.

I use Turtle wax ICE, they have a whole line that work awesome, if you dont mind spendin a lil cash.
(Back to black)  By Mothers is the best for that, 5 bucks a bottle and it will last a short lifetime.

I used some on my Ram and it is awesome.(ICE)
