it means

drawn
over
mandrel

or in other words, seamless. this is better because 100% of the tube shares teh same strength
in hrew, or crew, or standard pipe, there is a seam down the middle that is a small percentage weaker then the rest of the tube

DOM starts out as a solid piece of stock. It is then drill out in the middle. This makes it seamless and therefore stronger the a piece that is turned and welded to form a seam.
1st gen yota truck. 37x12.5x15. 5spd dual cases, chevy springs in rear, toyota rears springs in front. Long bed....the list never ends..
Dont try to shift into 6th when u've only got a 5spd! Rubberside down doesnt always mean rite side up!

really? I thought it was a welded product.... that it started with coils of steel, which are slit to the right width for tube size.

The strip is cold formed and passed through an electric resistance welder which joins the edges together, under pressure......

true seamless is done by actually shearing a hole thru solid billet material. technically this is also "DOM"

but im no engineer so who knows

Well you can run a tube from shock hoop to shock hoop (on the tops of the hoops) and use an ID tube clamp like this to make it removable for service

that is badass. ive seen clamps like that before but those are sick and look really functional.

thats the idea more of less I was thinking of going with on my rig since I hate exos but not much room for interior. the nice thing about that style is the protection of the cab and apillers. not the strongest thing in the world but should do its job in a flop

Jud

In the last pic, whats up with there only being one tube by the rear window?

Theres only one tube running from the passenger roof down to the driverside frame rail. Did not not want a X across the back of the cab.

Ok I didn't notice that it goes all the way to the frame rail.

Thats awesome! Thats kinda what i was hoping to do. Run a Double Single Light bar, a stinger, and a halo with a couple down bars at the A and B pillar, and sliders/corners for the back sides of the bed.

erick350

yes my friend. but i'm looking for the crawler kit or axel gears but i can't find it because is off set to the passager side both axel's if you know something i'll be glad. cause i'm going to the US on octuber 3th to visalia california (Bakersfield area)

46&2

Does your truck have the B series diesel, the 1HZ, the 1HD, the 3F or the 1FZ? Or something different? And what transmission and transfercase did it come with? It has the high pinion front third member right? Any high pinion gears should work in the front I would think. As for the rear, I know it is offset, but it otherwise it is a standard cruiser axle I think. Any land cruiser gears would probably work, but you should go over to www.ih8mud.com. that is the best place for land cruiser info, someone there will definitely know where to get you the right gears. There are a lot of 70 series guys over there.
