I am planning on doing a "partial" exo cage for my truck...Lets see some pics of partial exos. By partial exos I mean the tube runs on the inside and outside of the body. If you have seen the gold colored toyota on the front of the new Crawl magazine..you know what Im talking about! I would like to have tube running under the front fenders.

should be a bunch of pics popping up shortly of my cage all finished and tested

Im planning to build something similar since I hate full exos and there is not much room for the interior.

the only downfall to tube under the fenders is the fenders get smashed.

These partial exos remind me of a mullet....buisness up front, party in the back!  :disturbed:

Fenders for toyotas are cheap, I think I actually seen one in a local farmers market for like $25...

here is my truck, i did the exo cage because i am six foot 5 and i didnt want my head hitting the in cab cage all day long.  i also wanted a bar to save my windshield so when i lay it over it didnt take my windshield out since i drive down the road.  i guess i should have done a complete exo though.  i don't have a straight panel on my truck it looks like it went through a mill and sawed right down the sides.

Is that a half tube welded on the side of the door? I have seen something similar done with angle iron....

i don't know what you mean, here is a better picture of it.

DTB

aye..its just the pic angle....its a black stripe..

some people weld a piece of angle iron across the door face to help protect it from caving in..

That is exactly the kind of pic I am looking for..thanks tanner  :eyebrow:
