i didnt notice any differences, except my brakes work better, as far as stability is concerned it seems the same, anyone know the width of stock toy axle with 1.5" spacers compared to same axle with the widening kit instead of spacers? too tired to search.....

With 1.5 spacers its 58.5"

With the sky I THINK its 58"... I think it only adds 1.25" of width.....

I also am sure of that because it says it matches the width of the rear end on an IFS truck which would be 58"

thanks for the tech info chris, i kinda roughly measured it by picking the same spot on all 4 tires and i know its far from accurate but i ended up measuring the front an inch and a quarter wider than the rear, im gonna have to take my wheels off to get a better measurement

does adding width to the front reduce the turning radius? or does it make it better? or neither?
-I'm a noob by the way.  :-\ The answer to this question is probably common knowledge.

Not a problem.

Haha yeah the only way to really tell is measure the WMS of both.

depends on how you add width.
if its on the axle itself, as in spacers or a widening kit, then your stability increases and and so does your flex somewhat.
if its by changing the backspacing on a wheel then you get both of what adding to the axle does... but you also change the scrub radius.

Yeah I understand the stability and whatnot, but I am just trying to interpret by putting your wheels out further does it affect the truck's ability to turn sharp? because it seems that after adding IFS wheel hubs to my truck, that I can't turn as sharp. would that make sense?  :dunno:

yeah that makes sense.... thats where your scrub radius comes in to effect.
thats why moving the axle forward helps as well as tubbing the firewall.
the wider your over width is without moving your axle forward or modding your firewall, the more you loose in turnin ability.
