ok my new x-mas present, my buddies old winch bumper, he rolled his rig and cut this off. Its made of 1/4" box tubing and plate, it also has 2 hooks, i need to cut out his old frame, and make new spring perches, it also replaces my front 3" body lift blocks

I can't say until I see it mounted. I think it would look pretty sweet how it is, but a stinger would definitely add some flair to it....

yeah i just found your FS post. clean car!  i like it alot, hopefully you can get a good trade out of it.  unfortunately i do not have anything to trade and i'm way too far away!     and yeah i would deffinatley throw a stinger on it, i have always liked the look.  it would add some good dimension to your plate bumper.

looks pretty good!  offers alot of skid plate protection.  i think a stinger would deffinately look good on it though.  i would bend a stinger that follows the centerlines on the stock hood.  what i mean is, instead of making a single bend stinger (shaped kind of like a shock hoop) make the stinger have two bends in it. then it would come up just above the hood, and level out to match the hood lines then turn back down into the bumper.

took out the case and the bearing is disentegrated, hopefully thats all that broke... im gonna drop it off at my buddies shop tomorrow

I agree.

that bumper is frickin sick and a 2-bend stinger would make it totally "420 GJM Dope Status"

i like the way it looks w/o a stinger but i would bend one up and tack it on and see how it looks and decide that way.

i think stingers look better on tube bumpers because it kinda flows together but on square/flat bumpers looks weird

Well my plans are to get my case fixed asap, monday im takin it to the shop, tuesday im gonna try to get a torch borrowed and start work on the bumper, wednesday-thursday i have to help a friend move, and maybe friday i can finish the torching and hopefully get a bumper on during the weekend. But my wife also has finals for college, so i will be spending a lot of time with little "T", I wish he was old enough to work a grinder!

yeah if it were me i would deffinately get the bumper all fit up and installed then throw a stinger on.  i'm sure thats probly what you were planning on doing anyway

Updates...... trying to find out if my adapter was a bad one, also got the bumper seperated from the old frame and spring hanger. Next I have to make a new front hanger since the bumper was built for a 2x3" hanger under the stock one. Then im gonna burn it all together and mount my new winch! Hopefully pics tomorrow. Also im building a square driveline for my father in law tomorrow. Anyone have some leftover t-case parts? I need some guts for mine...

What do you need.  I have a lot of parts.  Probably 3 complete rear part of the cases.  Everything minus the front low range box.

I know what you mean about the bumper.  Most of time I don't want to waist my time with used bumpers and what not.  I'd rather just build something new mostly because I know it will be done right the first time.
