Was driving up a little hill and i wasnt even really getting it and right when i got to the top there was this incredably loud bang that sounded like a gun going off.. it was so loud. we checked out the front end and the dline was spinning and the pass axle was spinning but the driver wasnt so we figured i broke an inner shaft or a hub. got it back to camp and the next morning i took off the hub and the hub gear was all stripped so i filed it down and jammed it in but the hub wont unlock so somethings broken with the lockout part of it.

then coming down the hill there was some weird ass pops and then it was steering weird all the way down so we get to magalia and i was pulling around to get some air and everyone was like woaaaaaaaaa and we looked at the front end and the pinion was almost straight up and down cause the perches broke off and everytime i hit the brakes the axle would twist in the perches and so it twisted so far it kinda bent the tie rod.

damn you should just spend a full day and redo all the welds done by the PO with a good welder and get that thing tightend up..........thats sketchy

I redid almost every weld previously EXCEPT the front perches. SO last night i used my grandpas flux core lincoln and it got good penetration and got them on there nice and good. All the bolts are redone too.

I also redid the weld on the driver side where the place in santa clara turned the knuckles cause the welds were terrible.

Yeah dude all the welds on my truck are ligit now. THe only thing that is kidna sketchy cause i used a shitty welder is the FROR crossmember. It broke off once already on the driver side cause the tool before me didnt know how to weld.

Oh yeah my truck was sick for sure. I just wish i woulda known better before i decided not to kill it and call it quits... I coulda rebuilt it for cheap but too late now.
