what size rims are you runnin?   maybe someday in the future you could upgrade back up to a 40 that will work for both.  Your truck looked so awesome with 4ds!!

soon as they make good 40" DD tires.

Have you ever run a 37" MTR?

My buddy runs them.

.

There is a start if you have a good kidney you can get a 42in bfg mt.   I have a buddy who has almost 40k on the prevous style, its a good tire, and I hear the new ones are better.    But like I said their super expensive.

hey chris i didnt respond to your text earlier about how to get your truck lower like mine because i didnt know but i just realized as i was scrubbing gear oil out of my hair in the shower that  you just need to get a super gangster shackle angle up front with a pretty short shackle.  i bet you could pull off a 4" shackle at a 45* angle and drop the truck 1.5" easy or you can get some springs that are flat without any weight on them and build your pack with those.(thats what i was going to do before i decided to link instead)

Oh sweet so you were all a scumbag like kyle at rubicon when he was rubbing his head in your crossmember... hahaha

cool.. I will probably do that with the shackle. Its at about a 45 right now but its like a 6" shackle.

Jeremy (Wilson) for 650

Yeah. Im gonna get them on tomrorow. Schwab wouldnt mount them cause they blow ass and theres a slight gash in the sidewall and they said its bad yet a guy up there (Dan) said its no big deal... Totally gay
american tire poked a whole in the side of one of my stupid claws and gave me a 35" mtr for free, and they found a patch on the side wall of another one so i got 2 for free. 4 brand new 35" MTRs for $415 out the door! they do ya right there, and they will still work on rigs with wheel spacers as long as they are torq on. thats where i go. :)

MT/Rs suck compared to Iroks

That has to be one of the worst decisions ive made.... well for the offroad aspect of the tires.

For on road its the best. I hate MT/Rs offroad though, its official

Do they make a 40 mtr?   I have looked a few times and never found anything larger than a 37?  What size rim are the 40 mtrs.

I used to DD my truck on 38" sx's...  :gap:   Would I do it on iroks?  Hell no, they are too soft.

Don't ya hate it when ya buy tires that suck?  I did that once, never again will I buy tires for the yota without interco on the sidewall.... ;)  Sucks that you bought something you hate though, maybe someone will buy them for a decent price and you won't be out that much money in the end.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

I only bought the tires because I daily drive them and they still do decent for any other tire that will last as long as an mtr. The mtr is still a great tire but going from a tire that completely rocks to a tire that doesnt do nearly as great is the worst.

Buying MT/Rs instead of the 40s is a much better decision and I dont care what people think...no one needs to talk crap though because i cant afford two sets of tires

I hear ya, you know Im no bagging on ya for it either. ;)

I borrowed ShawnB's 35" bfg's after my sx's got stolen.  I have NEVER had such a complete and total hatred for a tire as much as I do for them.  I couldn't go anywhere I used to go on the sx's.  They even blew goat ass in the rocks I was embarrassed to say the least....  But I still thanked him for the lend of course.  He wasn't too thrilled that i hated them until he bought 39" iroks.  Now he won't even put the bfg's on his truck he hates them so bad. :hahaha:

yeah, i love iroks but they would last like a couple months with me, i drive from oroville to chico 5 days a week and im a weekend warrior. i like my mtrs, if it was a full blown rig i would have iroks.

Again like its said by others I love my IROK's but because of the milage problem and the fact that their a 42, I won't drive them on the street and just stick to my toyo's.  Best tire I've ever had for a dual purpose tire and I've run quite a few Interco tires and still would put the toyo up against any of them for the best all around tire.  I'm not dogin on MTR's because I've never owned them but from what i've seen off road I can still get up stuff the guys with MTR's struggle to get up with realitive ease.

Ok enough with tire talk.  Post up a picture with the new shoes on the truck.

hey well at leased something good came from the tires.....they work better for what you will be doing 90% of the time. Thats what really matters. Like last year before the hammers....I was buying new tires and for the same price i could have bought new 39.5" iroks....but then i knew after the hammers i was going to have to drive my rig to the trail if i wanted to wheel it again. SO i stuck with the 37" irok that have worked great on the road and i still have enouph power to make big hills. Id rather have 40's now so well see...

and your such a bro only bros buy 37" MTRS!!!! did natty ice come with those?
