Im thinkin when i build my next one, im gonna tie into the shock hoops for added strength

I would go with the same size tube that your shock mounts are out of.  it would be hard to fit the 1 3/4 to the 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 that the shock mount is made out of.

i used 1 3/4 to tie into my shock hoops and it fit fine and made the bumper SOOO much stronger/rigid

ya but you have some big ass gaps in some of the notches bro!  mainly the backside though.  haha

that was my first try at anything with tube and ill admit my bumper and sliders are shitty but strong

Not yet, I have to do a few more things to it and talk to the guy again who wants it. Hopefully I can pay cash for a new truck!

Oh I will probably have to get a prerunner since the 4wd's are a little out of my price range but yeah, front suspension is going to get cut out eventually anyway LOL ;D

Ya thats true. Only problem is you gotta swap the trans and tcase into it also. But thats not that big of a deal.

And thats pretty tight. I take it you want to run an automatic now?

Thats the only reason i said swap the tranny also cause i figured ud want a 5 speed and since most pre runners are auto, youd need to swap the tranny. but then i thought some more that also on the autos that are 2wd its different so youd still need to swap it. then you showed me that inchworm adapter and now i know you dont need to do anything...nice

Yeah I want an auto, after having a 5 speed in my last 2 trucks, I want something easier to drive on the road since I drive a lot on road and wheel every now and then. I thought about putting a 5 speed in the new truck but nawww

Good deal... Sometimes driving a 5 speed does get old for sure.

Im the same way. 80% of my driving is DD 20% is wheelin/getting to the trails
