Hey Skinny,
What don't you understand?   It would be easier to ask you questions and then answer them.  I have done this mod.  It is a better way to have your turn signals.  Post up a question and I will see if I can help.

i tryed to do this on my 88 and the corner lense is much smaller and you cant even fit a 1157 bulb in there. I just rewired it back with the original bulb and found a place to mount my turn signals. I wish i could wire mine like that

Ok......did you replace the light socket?

Yota4life

Yes, i used a 1157 bulb and socket. Dont fit in a 3rd gen lense

the lense isnt deep enough in 84 - 88 to fit a dual filament bulb.  the 89 and later is a lot deeper and it will fit.  On the 84-88, use the white trash method and wire the signal into the corner marker.  There is another post somewhere with his directions, or you can ask him.

is it just that simple to just wire in the turn signal to the corner and use an 1157 bulb?

On mine I pulled the parking light bulb out and drilled a new hole for it down lower. The bulb is pretty small so it didn't need much space. I used my dremel tool to make the notches so it would twist in.
Then I made the other hole bigger and plugged my turn signal bulb into it. Was very easy.

Yota4life

The one in the link i posted you use the stock corner bulb

Just a little time and a little patients with the dremel. Not too much patients, cuz I don't have much.

Cutting off the grounds and installing a EL-12 from Napa is the cheapest and easiest way to do this conversion by far.  I just did the whole conversin on my 3rd gen including installing a electronic blinker can (EL-12)  Took all of 20 minutes start to finish.  I used LED bulbs otherwise I wouldnt even have bothered with the electronic module. ;)
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Would you like me to hold you fawking hand too?   Just cut the white wire with a black stripe off both the parking and blinder plugs and put the blinker positive (green with a stripe I think) onto the old ground wire for the marker.  Done deal.

The standard yota plug has 3 wires while the el-12 has only 2.  If you hold the plug with the wires like this [_] then the flasher goes in the bottom and right slots.

Are you sure this wouldn't be easier. No wiring changes. Stock plugs. Just a little dremel time.
