thanks man that means alot! this is my first 4x4 link set-up I have linked mini trucks and helped my buddy link his hot rod so I had the knowledge to do it... the biggest thing I can say is just really do your research and use the pirate 4x4 link calculator... and also you can never mock it up enough and just be sure to cycle the suspension before welding everything up.... its almost done now pretty much just down to geting the toyota steering box mounted to the fame, build the drag link, hook up the powersteering and take her for a test drive...

Your build is awesome. Im glad I finally looked it over.

thanks man... ya I love the seats too they are sooooo much better than the stockers that I had from a second gen!

rangers looking good.... i'm no pro or anything but when you put coilover or airshock mounts dont you want the hoop going through the frame and not butt welded to the frame cause it makes it stronger....

that would be an idea as I have never seen it done that way... the hoops will be gusseted to high hell with an over-engine bar as well... I am not too worried about anything on this rig coming off its all way more beef than the customer needs it to be.... this is his DD and very mild wheeler but i insisted on using the beefy :pokinit:!

ya I know it would be nice! :pokinit: I wish I had them on my wheeler.... my truck will be going on links and coil-overs soon I am just waiting to get my brackets in production so I can use them and all my parts on the re-build... my truck will also at the same time be getting a 3.4l and a few other goodies!

couple more of the ranger! its holding up its own weight now, it would be sitting on tires but we realized at 11 last night we have no lug nuts for the dana 44 so we had to fake it! all there is left to do is fab an engine crossmember, build a drag link, tighten steering down, hook up power-steering lines, install brake lines and a couple other little things and its ready to test drive... its a big mo fo!!

@ ride height sitting on a tire (cory is 6'2 to give ya an idea how tall it is)

@ full droop

and sitting at ride height

ok so I got the truck back in the shop for some much needed repairs and upgrades before the wheelin trip coming up.... this time around the list is pretty short

-install longfields
-new 2x6" transfer case crossmember and 1/4" skidplate
-guesset a couple things up
-install stock tacoma muffler andd maybe a cat and o2 sensors (love the way they sound stock)
-a couple other things that I cant remember

PICS

finally fired it up and moved it (doesnt wanna turn with a broken axle)

tore  the front end apart again to install the longs and ta dah

bling bling

ok finally got my longs installed and started working on my transfer case crossmember/skidplate I am building.... I am tired of the tubing one under my truck flexing so I went super beef with this one...

longs in the front end (its back together now this is the only pic I have)

crossmember material (the rusty 2"x6" .250 wall)

the brackets I built to hold the crossmember under the truck

Hopefully this evening I can get all the old crossmember cut off the frame and start making the new one fit up in there and get it finished up...  I am also building a 1/4" skidplate to cover the exposed parts of the case under the truck... I have already hit the case on rocks a couple times and been lucky enough not to damage it.... figure its time for a skid
