well i know what i wanna do with the bed.   i like what ruger had  and would like a rack for stuff.

i would have 2 get a new tool box but owell     here are some drawlings.

Now the bar buy the cab is gona double as a roll bar so it's gona need bed/frame connector tubes  + triangulation   But i don't wanna block the slider window.

so which one i don't wanna block the rear slider in case i ever got squeeze threw it.  it's not just rack but roll bar and will be tied 2 the frame underneath well the front will be.

I like #1, its simple, and looks effective. I would throw an X on top too, not just a cross bar.

I edited to show my improvements. I installed an X instead of just a croos bar on top. I also added a cross brace at the bend about level with the top of the toolbox. I even added in expanded metal for ya.

It seems to me that you have a similar need to what Jeff wanted out of his bed bar. He wanted to be able to sling a tarp over it and sleep in the back. He also stated that for those long trip he would possibly need more storage, maybe some sort of basket that he could place up on the horizontal part of his cage, then remove or just move to the bed if he wanted it lower. This is what we came up with for his needs, although its not complete in these pics, as he still needs to add the X bracing up top and the crossbar behind the cab.

As far as where you put your bracing I think it mostly comes down to personal preferance. Anything can happen in the right, or um, wrong curcumstances, so don't expect it to be the thing to save your life, and provide all these other functions as well.

Got my Tires 2day new BFG 33   omg there so pretty.
Also did the control arm bushings OMG    lets just say lots of   also installed new T-bars So much bigger then the old ones.
Removed the sway bar it was tweeked  also found a few other things tweek .

Trucks alined   broken bolts replaced ....................... truck rides So fing hard  i got unadjust the t-bars aging   and they aren't no wheres near where the factory ones where.

O broke the T-bar bolts got find them 2marrow or im screwed. + Hand mount the new tires then get the truck alined.
