I was just out there at Breckenridge boarding last week.  I may move back out eventually, but for now I'm staying here in Missouri.  I'm definately going to come back out there to play though.  I'm going to try and drive the Yota out at the end of May for some playtime!

It wasn't the actual Rhino brand, I think it was made by DupliColor.  I used the spray on stuff that I got at walmart for like 7 bucks a can or something.  It worked great for hard to get to places.  For prep I just cleaned it up good with an all purpose cleaner.  I probably should have roughed it up with a wire wheel or sand paper too, but didn't.  So far so good though.

The weekend of the 17th if everything works out as planned.

W a :pokinit: a sounds like a plan too, but us arkies have some friends who havent been to Flat Nasty. We told them to plan a day in may and we would go. The 17th is what they came up with, so thats when I'm going. :gap:

Why don't you plan a trip to   wash ita for late summer, or preferably early fall. I was thinking bot going to the TTORA takover if they have it in Kentucky, or Tennesse, this summer. I think it is the last weekend of june, or first weekend of august. I may just wait till its back in my region next year.

Here is a picture of how I ended up routing my rear brakelines.  They are higher and more anti-damage located than the stock location.

If it was mounted to the housing the u-bolts would get it anyway, and if something that bad happens I'm in trouble!

Call marlin I bet they get questions like this daily. I'm willing to bet the answer they give ya is pretty vague though. If you get in the ballpark, you can always adjust the height of the shock towers to get everything dead on.
What springs are ya running up front again? With Marlins, rearesup front, or other vendors springs your gonna need about 12, to 14 inches of travel out of your shocks. If your running a factory replacement spring, or custom springs made from stock fronts you should only need 10" of travel at the most.

Hey Glen, are ya watching this build? How much travel did your old custom setup have? Did ya ever measure?

Couldn't measure them without the hoops, not accurately anyway.  Just trying to get an idea.  I'm going with the 12" travel.

I am doing the same thing and am wondering how to keep the shackles from doubling backwards if you unload then reload the spring?

I think it would be hard to get the shackles fully extended.  You would have to completely unload the trucks weight off the rear...  I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but once you get it setup on the truck and go out and flex it you will see what I mean.  Maybe on a steep incline with a lot of bouncing, but if the shocks are doing their job too it then...  Who knows.

It's pretty much been a big debate ever since the double shackle idea has been around.  I set mine up that way because it was an easy way to do it and I didn't have any frame behind the rear hanger to move it back any...  So far so good, but I haven't done any crazy stuff with that setup yet either...  So I'll see how it works out.

Simple fixes would include thinks like welding tabs on the shackles to keep them from inverting, or limiting straps on the shackles to keep them from reaching a full 180 degree extension...  I'm sure there are other ways too.

Since the 94 cab I used has a 7/8 bore master cylinder it's not stopping so good.  Seems like I have to pump the brakes to get good pressure.

I pulled a 1" bore master cylinder off a parts truck and am going to swap that on there as soon as I get it cleaned up!
