Looks good,  what did you do with the overhang on the inside?  Weld it up and cut the extra off?
Life is too short!!!   Do something with it!!!

Nice work. Its tricky welding anything to that thin Sami sheetmetal. :)

I can hardly belive you are not returning that housing. Very unfortunate circumstances to say the least. Rick you got skills, so why not build Your own one off housing? I hope you get everything squared away.  :sad2:

Hey guys, Lets not clutter up this build up thread on MCI's site about this one component of the build... When I figure out what I'm doing with it - I'll let you guys know.

Wow that stinks. Hope you get what you need from another company. Or just beef up the V6 housing.

Jordan7118

Man, how funny! At least it's free now. I'd be pissed if you weren't refunded. Hopefully they'll fix some stuff.

Back to the build, have you been able to do anything with Tuki lately? Also, have you sold Quasi yet? I'm sad to see him go, but I understand you can't keep your cake and build a new one too  :haha:

Merry Christmas, Rick, and thanks for all your work for us newbs

4RnrRick

Yes, What was left of Quasi is now sold to another wheeler that lives about 100 miles away from me.

I feel the shaved bottom of it, could potentially be a problem, as stated through the review on pirate, but i stand corrected, i also believe it was of poor execution!

YES - I was Black Listed from the one vendor willing to take money from ANYONE! But me....

some here could call that almost a blessing...

Rick i noticed your build was gone from PBB glad i was able to find it here.Hope this TG BS doesn't discourage the Tuki build.

Hey Rick, just wanted to subscribe to this build thread.  Sorry to hear the way things went.  From what I could see, it looked pretty crappy for you all around.  Keep your chin up, keep posting detailed build threads, and keep telling it how you see it!!!

Rick, do you use body caulk or anything special?

Do you typically tack weld most of it, or do you go for full welds on one side?  (bottom seam looks tacked inside/welded outside?

Love how you landed the tailgate seam on the stiffener rib.  :smokin:
