As the title says, it is official!  I'm moving to Reno, NV.  After a physical test, written test, and an interview, I was offered a position with the Reno Fire Department in late july, pending a background check and a series of physical examinations (physical, blood/urine tests, cardio pulmonary exam, etc. )    I recieved the news on thursday that everything came back clear, so I am heading east!  I'm moving up there next sat. and the academy starts on the 4th of sept. :woohoo: 

Unfortunately, this does mean wheeling will be on hold for a while, and my time here will be cut back severely.  I'll miss the board, but I can't wait to get moving on the next phase of my life!!!  Also, I'll finally have some cash to actually build my rig for MCR7!!

If any of you are ever in the Reno area, and need a place to crash, let me know :gap:  Also, I'm only 20 minutes from moonrocks now!  :woohoo:

finally got internet.  Moved up last Sat.  Truck overheated coming over the pass (of course)  but it's been doing alright down here.  I don't have another truck yet, but I'm only 10 minutes from the training center, so worse comes to worse, I'll pull out the old bike.  When I got here, I discovered my computer had taken a :pokinit: as well, which sucks, so I'm sitting here typing on a brandnew laptop :gap: 
I'm also, a new resident of Nevada, got a new DL, and the 3.0 Killer got new tags :thumbs:

New place is cool. Its a little one bed apartment, but its not like I need more.  Its an older place, but rent isn't too bad, and its quiet.  Its set back from the street, so not a lot of noise..  10 minutes from the recruit academy, and a lot of stuff within 5-8 minutes (raleys, winco, walmart, home depot)  and of course, 20 minutes or so from Moonrocks :gap:  Once my lease is up (7mos.) and I'm out of the academy, I'm going to look for a house/duplex to rent, so that I can work on my truck on my days off.  :woohoo:  I start Tuesday morning, at 730 AM  :woohoo:

Well, it is official!! I am now an employee of the Reno Fire Dept.  Had the first day of the academy today :eyecrazy:  Its gonna be hard, but a lot of fun!! :woohoo:
