If you ever get a chance to watch a motorcop demonstration, do it!  These guys log a shitton of miles and are often incredibly good riders.  I've watched rpd scrape thier floorboards in corners around town, seemingly just for fun  :haha:

Bullcrap! They cant ride for crap.

Maybe your old man couldn't ride for :pokinit:......

That does not mean other motor cops suck at riding   :therethere:

A very close friend hit a deer yesterday and could use all of your prayers.  He is a very experienced rider so this goes to show you that it can happen to anyone.  He was doing 65 on his intruder when the deer popped out of the trees.  His helmet saved his life but he has a broken collar bone, 5 broken ribs and a punctured lung.

Sorry to hear about that. I hope he heals up and can be riding again soon. He's gonna be awfully sore for awhile...

Dealing with broken bones and road rash sucks even worse during hot weather.  Ditto to what's been said, hope he heals well and quickly.

Helmet saved his life but he still got 5 broken ribs and a punctured lung. He's recovering nicely but he complains that he isn't healing like he did when he was young. Silly that his bike is barely even scratched...  weird!

Good to hear!  And yea, the older I get the slower I heal, though I do seem to heal quicker when I'm in better shape.

Oh, and I may have the opportunity to do another open track day next thursday, though I'd need a new set of tires to the tune of $320  :ack:  and I'd have to see if a competent enough coworker would trade days off with me.

:nope:  just purchased, but I will sell if I don't like it.  I have a 13 year attachment to my f4i and felt a little sad when I wheeled this in front of it in the garage.  This has some bling parts which need to come off and be replaced with track ready parts, but something needs to be sold before I can justify that.

The tears dry up when I ride this thing tho.  :circle: A 2000 XR 650R. I lost 2 cylinders but only 25 cc... The trails out here in South AZ have to be some of the best in 'Merica.

Love it!  I cannot fathom riding at that level or speed, but it is great fun to goose it and hang out the back in the wet.  It can just bite back really, really quick...

Just watched that the other day.  Makes me sick.  Saw a little blurb on the news about it but reception was cutting in and out, but did he use the excuse that a spider was in the car?  That'd be hard to use after saying in the video that the bike shouldn't have passed on the double yellow.
