I think joe rocket makes one.  Any of the big names, vanson, first gear, arlen ness, axo (yes, like the dirt bike gear), alpinestars, icon, should all make a mesh jacket.  As for which ones are good... I'm very partial to alpinestars gear because it seems to fit me best.  I like buying stuff from this place since they usually have good deals and auctions on ebay  http://www.newenough.com/  You can also try kneedragger(s).com

Forgot, on newenough you need to click closeouts on the far right to get the deals.  I'm sure you woulda figured it out though.

I don't know much about vega.  It looks ok, but I'd do a little google search and see if you can find anybody on a motorcycle board who's posted their experience with them.

i would go sniper, icon (expensive!), or Teknic.

the icon seems the nicest, as it should be for the extra price, but either of the other look pretty BA to me, and seem like they meet the criteria as a summer riding jacket.

I've seen enough teknic gear come apart at the seams early that I'd only buy it out of the bargain bin.  Only icon thing I have is a pair of hooligan gloves in black w/blue chrome knuckles.  I'm not into bling, but it sometimes makes me chuckle when I see their bright reflection in people's back windows at stop lights  :haha:  Just remember, alpinestars stuff runs a tad small compared to most others, so the same size jacket may be a tad tight.  That's why their stuff fits me so well!

Check this link, there are tons of cool pics of honda xr 75s!  I have a nice one at stocker's house that I need to get some day, but I have a few other projects to clear out of the carport first.  I also have a few chassis that I could build a sweet one out of.  I really want to build a long travel one.  http://www.vintagefactory.com/PIT%20SHOP.htm

Never ridden over there.  I did ride once at the ohv park, but that was a long time ago.  I haven't really ridden dirt in years, probably about 6, and that was on my old kx100.  If it's green stickered I'll be heading over that way, especially since I don't live too far from there.

Nice bike misfit, I love superchickens!  Great touch with the cbr forks, the stock forks definately left something to be desired if you even thought about pusing it.  If it weren't for the horrible mileage I'd seriously consider buying one if I got a great deal, but they're thristy from what I hear.  That's pretty sexy in black too!

I my 48mi a day to work eats about a gal. most people say they get around 35, blame it on the 48mm carbs. not bad from my 17mpg 4runner though

Quote from: CA DMV
How to apply for a motorcycle or moped driver license if you are over 18

There are two classes of motorcycle licenses, Class M1 and Class M2.

    * With a Class M1, you can operate any 2-wheel motorcycle and any motorized vehicle in Class M2.
    * With a Class M2, you can only operate any motorized bicycle or moped or any bicycle with an attached motor.

Effective January 1, 2006, you may operate a motorized scooter with a Class M1 or M2 driver license. Prior to January 1, 2006, you must have a Class C or higher driver license to operate a motorized scooter.

A motorized scooter is defined as: A two-wheeled "device" powered by a motor with a floorboard that is designed to stand on when riding. The scooter may also have a driver's seat.

Refer to the Motorcycle Driver Handbook for more information.

To apply for a motorcycle Class M1 or M2 permit, you will need to:

    * Visit a DMV office (make an appointment for faster service)
    * Complete application form DL 44 (An original DL 44 form must be submitted. Copies will not be accepted.)
    * Give a thumb print
    * Have your picture taken
    * Pay the application fee
    * Pass a vision exam
    * Pass a traffic laws and signs test. You have three chances to pass the test.
