Camaro is in for rear quarter panels. It's leaving today.

If it where close enough, yes the heat could damage the bag. But the exhaust would have to be pointing directly at it. The exhaust dumps are half a foot in front of the bag, and half a foot below it at full lift. Aired out it will be even further. I am not worried.

what type of rotors and calipers did you use to set up rear disk brakes on your blue toyota?

It's 5 lug, but 79 Monte Carlo front calipers and 87 Mustang SVO rear rotors redrilled with 12mm holes. If I had different wheels I would have just pressed 14mm studs in the axles.

i just pulled off the front and rear disc's and rotors off an 87 supra if u want those for a disc conv.

I pulled a straight 26 hour shift, with a friend helping me for 12 of them, to get this car done for a show. Started Thursday at 8AM, and finished Friday at 10AM. Owner picked it up at 11AM and drove to the show.

Built front bump stops to limit the down travel. Also had to cut a hump off the oil pan and shorten the pickup tube to keep the pan off the ground.




And a couple pictures taken right after it went on it's first test drive.




It needs to come back for some little things, but it made the 600 mile round trip pretty much problem free. I fixed a couple of fitting leaks at the hotel, that was it really.

We took it to Danger Zone in Visalia.

The door logo is my "classic" logo. I always used ball peins as kick stands on my mini bikes, so I wanted to incorporate that with the crown.

Well, the cop car is gone, the Toyota is gone, the Comet is gone, and the Camaro is gone. I've got an empty shop, and it feels pretty good. I ordered the last couple of things I need to put a stereo in my truck, so if I still have free time next week I would like to do that. I almost never get time to myself. All I have this week is some small welding jobs, and doing a front end rebuild on a 70s 521 pickup. Bushings and brakes.

I cleaned all day today, and did a little work on my spindles.

I have another potential long term project coming in that sounds interesting. I don't want to say what it is though. The last few times I have done that, they have dropped through last minute.

Man am I in trouble. I found a "frame table" of sorts my friend was selling. I got it for a lot less than the materials cost, so I couldn't pass it up. It's square, but it sags a bit in the middle. I can adjust it with the center feet until it's flat, but I want to add some supports to the bottom so it doesn't fatigue over time.

Drop spindles are the best way. If he wants more, drop coils are cheap too. You can get spindles on eBay for about $175.

hey twistid, if your getting lazy and want a lift for the little red truck lifted cheap Downey Off Road has a 3.5" lift spindels for a good price PM me i might be able to hook you up on a better price

I can't seem to find spindles on Downey's site. I'm not too worried about the suspension on my truck right now, don't really have time to get involved in it. And I need to replace the valve guide seals first really. I might be building a sub box for it if I get some down time this week though. I hate wood work though.
