Being born and raised, for the most part, in the South (I always capitalize South or Southern) with brief forays into the frozen midwest...I was dismayed to learn I only rate a 66% Dixie! That means I'm 34% (freakin') Yankee. How can that be...I still refer to the recent unpleasantness between the states as "The war of Northern Aggression"!

51% (Dixie). Barely into the Dixie category.

Cracked me up how many of my responses were "common in great lakes" or "northeast" responses, having resided all but a few months of my life in northern california.

44% Barely into Yankee category ya'll!!  I have great-great grand parents that were slave owners, and have a cemetery named after them!  Do a Google on Bettis Cemetery.

PS~ I'm not proud to say that I have ancestors that were slave owners!  (Jerome Bettis' ancestors took their slave owners last names when they were released!  Which happens to be my maternal Grandparents last name!)
