i used that exact same paint but olive drab! bought it from wal mart, they don't sell it anymore.  i can't wait to get my bumpers. blue was awesome and i'd bet this one will be too. peace

dirt boy toy; after seeing "high price of low cost" i try to stay away from walmart. i know they are usually the lowest price in town but walmart is the devil. sorry dude. if you don't believe me check out the DVD. i think they have it at hollywood or blockbuster, i cant remember.
also how does that paint hold up? flaking, chipping, fading?
I'm just testing it out. its sand dune. i want to go with a desert tan color. i have always thought that was a cool color, and being in Cali its the same color as our dust.

today was not worth waking up for. i had my 2nd smog test. failed the idle and almost failed the 2500 rpm test. so i still have to play with the motor and find whats wrong. they told me they could start me off at $180 for them to find it out. HELL NO!!  drove fine on the way there but after i had a nasty coolant leak and they droped my idle to about 500 rpms so now it barley runs on its own. easy fix but why the hell would they do that. 800rpms maybe but not no 500.
then the good part.
they drop the hood and park it in the ready area. i pay then go on my way. about 1 block away my freakin hood flys up. i cant see shirt so i slow down till my hood falls back down and pull off the road as soon as possible. when they droped my hood they never put on my stupid strap that holds down my hood. (see page one) so my 2 week old hood is bent, my cowl is bent the hinges look to be bent and this one piece is cracked. oh yeah and one wiper blade arm was completely broken off.
i go back like hey thanks guys. and no "sorry man" nope its all my fault. i wasnt asking them to fix nothing or give me anything just wanted to show them what happened to my truck. all they could say is "not our fault"
it sucks cause this is our local toyota and iam pretty cool with all the guys that work there.
iam freakin bumbed cause this is more money that is going to BS and not my F'n truck build.

that sucks dude sorry to hear that, I had a problem smoging MINI's truck but after I drove it around the block 15 - 20 times and got it nice and hot it passed I dont know why but I hope you get it done.

i havent posted in a while
i have been to busy with fam stuff and lame mechanical stuff
but i finally got my truck to pass smog. i had to replace the egr vac modulator. passed but i still get a check engin light every now and then. smells rich. i think it might be my o2 sensor. i have the LC engineering headder which has the o2 further back so you have to cut the wire to stretch it out. i think the change in length of wire is causing a problem. so far iam not a fan of lc engineering. pretty good product super high price and not so good customer service.

ordered a new seat for the driver. paid about $300 for every thing. had a small hole and sent it back
corbeau was hella cool about it though. sendin me a new one.
the quality of the seat was ok. ya get what you pay for.

got to work on the truck today
got the stock spring hangers and stock shock mount off. it was alot harder than i thaught it would have been. every one on here makes it look like no biggie. my freakin elbows were blazing from pushing on the grinder. also burnt my face with a hot ember. a molten shard of steel melted into my face. also got my nose split open a little. while using a cut off wheel a little piece broke off and hit me on the nose. i felt it but it didnt hurt much, then when i touched it i had hella blood on my hand. 
got it to stop bleeding then went back to work
we had a good day but then we ran out of wire so first thing tomorrow mourning i will be picking up some more.............. i hope
the plan is to have the front springs, steering and axle done tomorrow. maybe even more

lined up the hanger and measured from the front hanger hole to the center of the shackle. not the center center. more the center but at the bottom of the hole. i think it was 44.75" appart

rick got the hanger welded but we decided to wait to get some steel to place between the old hanger and the new to get a better weld. so for now just the sides are welded up. hopefully tomorrow or next weekend we can get the whole hanger done.
