last night i had my rear spring hangers welded up. had them set up 6" forward. iam not all that happy with them though. they hang down pretty far and seem like they will snag vary easy. i hope to build some ramps for them but not any time soon. and at 6" they sat right on the bend. but rick welded them up like crazy i will try to get a better pic of them tomorrow so you all can see.

Best advice I can give you is to tack everything in place and the weight of the truck on the springs to make sure everything is where you want it.  I know what you mean about putting 6 inches forward and being right on the bend.  I ended up only moving mine up three inches and the rear shackle hanger back 6 to extend my wheelbase 3 inches back.

Even at three inches forward, I am not happy with the way the spring hanger fits the frame.  I will post pictures of my solution after this weekend.

Same here bro, I check out your build whenever somebody posts in it.

I think you'll be OK with the hanger in that spot.

How hard was it to trim the fenders and make such smooth cuts?  I will be trimming front and rear as well.  On the rear, I will be trimming quite a bit out of the back of the fender and wheelwell tub.

man if you saw what your old blue truck looks like right now you'd be beating some ass.  A dumbass friend of me and willy bought it and then flopped it on its side going pretty fast the second day he had it but it was still fine after a little motor work then not long after that he was showing off for some dudes that im posative didnt care spinning doughnuts and rolled it all the way over and supposedily it is completely totalled.  He was asking me about body parts for it the other night at a party

iam freakin pissed. i was trying to get the wheel studs into the rotor. after hammering for 30-40 min i decided to use the press. it worked great until i cracked my brand new freakin rotor.  :smack: :maddest:
also earlier today my wife called to let me know we were getting stuck with a bill for $1200. the bill is because i sold a car to a friend of mine and he never registered it. it got towed mo. ago and now they sent a collections agency after us since we are still on the reg.
  :maddest:
i talk to my buddy tomorrow. hopefully he steps up. we will see
iam seeing a nice size dent in my parts allowance.
so this build might be coming to a short pause.
i still gots money in the bank though :beerchug: might have to pull from the secret stash

after cutting my front fender i'm left with all this metal hanging out waiting to be snagged up. any ideas or pix of what has worked for any of you? i was thinking of making a few cuts in the metal and smashing it down with a hammer. it would be nice to just cut the whole thing off but i dont know how to weld..........yet
