One more pic of the whole front end in one shot. I just want to stress how tall this truck is. I am 5'9" and I almost had to stretch to put my hand on the roof. The truck is taller than my 4runner by a good margin. The front springs are nearly flat sitting with no engine, transmission, interior or driver. I imagine once everything is assembled the front springs might even go into reverse arch.

I was actually thinking about doing something simmilar, not quite as tall, about the same lift as my 4runner. Where the club I ride with does we are always finding crap that people dump out there (why go that far into the woods to dump a TV's and a washing machines I dont know) but I figured a regular utility trailer would be dragging everywhere and a setup like that would be able to clear anything my truck can, and neatly double my storage space.

Yeah, it would, but you would definately have to make it lower.  That trailer had 44's on it!  To give you a little comparison, the back bumper on that thing was level with my shoulder and I'm 5'10".  I was standing on the tire of my 2wd taco when I took this picture in the Vons parking lot.

Another thing you have to remeber is that there is no weight on that trailer other than the tires. I would be  :yikes: to put too much weight to make it top heavy.

It was attatched to a 3/4 ton suburban with a lift and 35's on it with no drop hitch or anything.  It was hooked to a ball directly on a bumper.

The work our way to the front, THREE INCH BLOCKS ALL THE WAY AROUND!!! And again, check out the awesome shackles, and the way the U-bolts are splayed out. Another interesting point is that he has developed a sway bar that does not require end links, Just weld them directly to the shock mount.

It is obvious this truck still has a long way to go, no engine, not transmission, no drive shaft... no front third member. Seriously, did Suzuki even make a 2wd Sami? I hope they did and this guy didn't go to the trouble of cutting the ends off of an axle and welding them up to some tubing. but when I think about it, this might be a better setup, I saw a truck in I think trucking, or street trucks magazine that was lifted like 16 inches, on 46 inch tires, wild paint, and a 2wd. If it is going to be a mall crawler, why spend the extra money on the extra expense of buying a 4wd if you will never use it.

Hahaha that thing is frightening. I hope it never gets finished and gets dismantled. Suzuki actually did make 2wd sammies....very rare i think. I have only ever seen one. I was looking at craigslist once and i found one and the guy was trying to get an arm and a leg for it because it was "The rare 2wd model!"  :shake:

Oh no!!!!....I used to love that truck back in the day,I used to REALLY like big lifted Toyotas and that was one of my favorites,I forget the owner's name but I actually almost ended up with that truck about 8 or 9 years ago,I was gonna trade something for it but I can't remember what. For what it is,it's actually built right. My plan was to lower the suspension a bit and bring it down to 39" boggers...Remember though, this was about 9 years ago and back then no one was running Krawlers or all the other tires the cool kids are running these days. And I wasn't really into rock crawling back then, just light trails and Azusa Canyon mud,I still like that truck alot.

Just saw this on Cardomain. First a few comments on the pics... why? To fit the tires he has he needs probably 2 or 3 feet less lift than he actually has. oh wait that question is answered by other one of his photos, he hopes to one day but the tires and wheels off of bigfoot (i think 5) and mount them on his monstrosity. I also hope the picture with the cop car is a police escort to a car show and the fool does not actually drive this thing on the street. If he has the money to build such a thing he might believe if he can pay the tickets he can drive it on the street also  :shake_head:. he might actually drive it because he mentions he can see in his second story windows as he is driving up to his house.

If you want to see more of this freak the pictures are at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2501214

Here is a pic of the front end I cropped and enlarged, it looks like it is set up like a rocker arm in a valve train, or the link in a cantilever suspension. Cant tell in the pic what works the upper rod connected to the pivot but I sure don't see anything that looks like a ram.
