I am sure I will get ragged for this, but when I was little I wanted a Camaro on a blazer frame. The Type 4 ( think thats what that model is on the Toyota frame ain't bad at all except for the wheel wells not lining up. Course less overhang in the rear if you can keep the tires out of the quarter panels.
There is a fine line between clever and stupid, I just wish I knew when I crossed it.

Heh there is a  guy up here in Grass Valley that put an El Camino body on a blazer frame w/ full width axles with some 38 swampers...as goofy as it looks the guy did a good job, everything lines up well and it sounds burly.

I wish I had a camera today!  I saw a taco that had a dana 44 with leaf springs under the front, the problem was I think it was a half ass'd job.  Just two pieces of triangle shaped metal welded to each side of the frame, with the spring bolt going through them, on the front of the spring!  And the best of the "OH CRAP!" was he had what looked like a rod end/johnny joint kinda thing bolted through the bottom of the frame and thats what the shackle was attacked too!  Not bolted through the frame like it should!  The shackle looked like it would go over 45* before it would hit the frame!  Looked like the front end would easily break off!  Plus he was running 40" boggers with like a 8" spring lift!

What color was the taco?? I saw an orange one recently where the owner had welded the PS box to the frame instead of bolting it on, among other welded on items.....
