cotoy i'm runnin a 4.3 with the aa alum. radiator and a 3200 cfm flexlite fan with the varible speed controller and haven't had any overheating problems. I ran kelly flats 2 weeks ago it was in the upper 80's with alot of waiting for people and it never went above 205. The cooling system wasn't cheap but in my opinion it'll cost more in the long run ...

lol good times  :beerchug:

That is for sure. Since it is broken I am going to try and work on it till the back ordered fan comes in. I am going to pull the over load leaf in the read and two up front and go to smaller shackles to lower it 3 inches or so. Should be 22 to 23 at the frame at street pressure. I also have a cage and hydro assist sitting in my garage to install, but it needs to run so i can get to where i do my welding.

And by next pay check i should have 4.7 gears and a long out put and the one after that a bud built crossmember raised three inches, so i should gain 6" of belly clearance when that is done. Only draw back is the exhaust will need to be re-runn

I could cut a hole in my hood and destroy my trans tunnel if i wanted to remove it, but i dont think i want to do that much work. Plus sliders, bed, and a lot of other things are set up in conjunction with it.

yeah it is backordered because it is not a very common item. Most race engines are clockwise rotation using v belts. My later serpentine belt style engine rotates counter clockwise

I did have some goodies show up so I am still happy. Even though it shits up in the shed and I have driven it once this summer

Hey guys....I moved over from Redstone/Carbondale area to Grand Junction about 2 years ago. I have an 85 P/U that has been modified "slightly"..running # 206 crawler and propane..just putting out a feeler for wheeling buddies. I work at All Metals Welding as an estimator / tig welder, and can usually be persuaded to zap something up for beer and parts..

Cheers

I started working on my backyard over a year ago.  Quite a bit has changed in the last 2 months but still haven't gotten enough done.  I basically spend every weekend working back there and still haven't managed to get sod down yet  :therethere:

Anyways, onto the pictures

Over the last two years, 4 out of the 5 maple trees have died and been replaced with 2 Hot Wings Maples, an Ash, and a Redbud.  I also 2 more Hot Wings Maples and another Ash for a total of 8 trees in the backyard.

You can roughly see the outline of where the grass is going to be.  I layed out the border stone just to make sure I had enough and am in the process of putting it down straight and square.

This is how the back area will look when completed.  There will be flowers and tall grass planted around the big boulders

Closeup of the 4" stripstone we used for a border between the rocks and the grass.

I outlined the play area with some 6x6 timber and put some smaller river rock back there for the kids.  Sand or smaller pebbles would have been cooler to play in but I didn't want it tracked in the house

Lower portion of the grass area.

The other 2 Hot Wings Maple trees.  We made a dry creek behind the boulders for water drainage down the fenceline.

Sprinkler box placement on the side of the house.  We had a major leak 3 days ago and it was the brand new valve for the drip system.  It had a hole in the rubber diaphragm and ran for 20-30 minutes before we caught it.  I've tore the manifold system up several times now and completely hate plumbing   :reg:

Looking back the other way.

The play equipment corner.

I also trenched for 110v power while I did the sprinkler system.  I plan on running power to the back fence for lights and power to the corner for a shed.

My junkpile and extra dirt.  This is where the shed will be located.  Maybe next summer??

Popup camper on the side of the house and stacks of tires and junk.

My messy garage and only access to the frontyard.  Everything I've put in the backyard has been hauled through this garage.  It's going to need a major cleaning after this project.

Closeup of the Hot Wings Maple.  It gets it's name from the red flowers that grow on it.  They look like buffalo hot wings

Mountain moss rock from Penrose CO.  I bought a permit to gather rocks from the area right around the Independence trail system.  Some of these rocks were on the 4 wheel drive trails
