I was originally going to build mine that way. I'm still learning to bend tube so I tried to minimize the amount of bends that I could screw up The turn signals are going away. I kinda put them on as a temp fix until I could wire in a trailer taillight converter that I bought last year (to make the red LED's blink as a tailight). Those yellow LED's are leak. They can only be seen at night. I'll just weld up the holes I drilled in the sheetmetal tailight holders. The bottom inch or 2 of the red LED's might be covered but there's 4 inches of light above so that should work out OK.
Well boys Im heading to Canada for a while. The last few years have been great. Dont count me out though ill still be around for some runs.
Any idea if you will try to do your after turkey day run?
I'm going to try, you interested?
thats a good looking truck Volcom. im hoping to own a tow rig and trailer soon, my future CO4RJambo trips depend on it.
Aaron that truck is perfect. Im way jealous. Ive been looking around for either that or a duramax. hopefully I can get one in the near future. As for Canada, I got a job with an oil technology firm (Schlumberger). Just couldnt turn it down with this economy. Im keeping my truck here in colorado so that I can come back and go on runs with everyone
Thanks! I didn't post it to make you jealous though I was looking at the Duramax's as well, they are NICE trucks!Glad you found a job (even if it's in Canada). What part of Canada? My brother has been working on an electrical engineering project in Canada for several years now. You're welcome to bring the truck down and I'll make sure I drive it every couple of weeks for you, hahahahahahaha Penrose here I come in Jared's truck, hahahahahaah
Gypsum CO. where the good wheelin is.
Just placed an order with Marlin for some new front bumpstops (part of their Christmas sale ) and some new knuckle cone washers ($3.60 each X 8 ) and new knuckle stud nuts. I'm tired of having them come loose on every trip . Maybe putting new hardware on the frontend will help. I'm currently just using the old cone washers. I cleaned them up with a wire wheel on the bench grinder years ago. Maybe they are toast along with the old original stud nuts. I also have to install the 5th knuckle studs from Longfield. I'm tired of the Toyota stuff and plan on moving to 1 tons in the future
IronClad: If I wanted to hold hands and be nice I'd become a hippie.
Congrats; where are you working? That welder is pretty slick, seen some good reviews about it when I was checking their plasma choppers.>>Dan
