Sounds like an interesting job; hope it pays well for dealing with former/current criminals. DOC is a nice place from what I've heard, ha ha.
Did that welder come with the cart? I just noticed that; looks like a pacakge deal.

>>Dan

It came as a package deal through my friends dealer. I think the cost for the welder with their discount was a little over $1500

But then I'll be stuck with baby axles :(

On 37's you'll have little issues.  Seems like once you go above 37's, the Toyota axles don't seem to hold up as well as a 1 ton.  Wonder why :)  ?

I just graduated from college this year in 3.5 years and just finished moving to Denver. For xmas and graduation my parents bought me the sweetest gift ever... Millermatic 212 autoset

and i bought myself this....

and these...

Nice welder! You're going to love welding with it.  I always smile when I first start welding with my dad's Miller 212 (non autoset).    Congrats about graduating!  You'll like that Ballistic traction bar.  I'm building one that basically the same thing.  I've got all the parts, just need to cut, weld, and slap it on.

And I got hired on the spot at my interview today! Heck Yes!

Wow!  Nice work!  Always nice to see things work out the way you want them to.  I actually just changed jobs at the hospital I work at as well.  No more I.T. for me.  I've been working almost 7 years in the IT field.  Just took our brand new Residency Program Coordinator position.  Big time change for me.  More responsibility, moving up the administration ladder, and more pay.  I start on Monday :)

That is great to hear! Good luck in your new field and career. My mom has been a nurse for her entire professional career so I have been around hospitals a lot.

The time has come to finally get this thing painted all one color      My buddy Brandon helped me out big time last Friday night.  He let me use his shop and he helped me DA sand for 5+ hours.  Thanks for all the help Brandon

What color do you get when you sand a faded out maroon/brown 27 year paintjob?

Knocked out the big dents with an 8lb sledge hammer and a 4x4  :ha_ha:

Nasty purple   :rofl2:
Color will come in a couple weeks.  It will be bright  :D

Tear down - Friday night

Time for tape

New $2.89 soft topper

Badass paint booth

It's bright

My boy approves

Shiny paint makes the dents POP!!

I love it and it came out great!  Not bad for a total of $150 of paint and supplies.  Big thanks to my buddy Brandon for the help.  There's no way I could have done this in my garage and without his help.

I doubt it.  I would have never painted it if I was going to get all upset over scratching it.  Jeremiah wanted me to paint it like my daughter's Barbie Jeep - pink & purple
