I am in charge of a wholesale department at a parts house and I am getting to spend some cash to make our accounts notice us some more.  What would you guys and gals like to see come in while you are at work?  ie> Donuts, Pizza, Calanders. they have also asked me to set up a way for our little accounts to spend more what would work for you?  Just thought I would run it by you guys and gals because there are alot of mechanics on this board thanks.

A lunch on the house is always nice  And maybe an employee party sometime for the holidays :gap:

This idea certainly "brown noses" with the people in charge, but ideas along the lines of pizza benefit the entire office.

Hold on this is for you accounts not your employee's right? If it's accounts an industrial hardware company I worked for used to have a barrel of whole salted peanuts in the shells for their customers to chomp on while they waited. They loved it and it's real cheap.

Few things get our guys (mechanics) going like a nice box of donuts!  We also had pizza fridays during the summer, where a couple of the guys would stop for pizza on the way to work (we started at noon), but that kinda ended cause they would sit there eating pizza for the first half hour.

always have a hot pot of fresh GOOD :coffee: yum. (not the cheap sanka crap)
here at work, (construction office) we have a BIG jar of chocolate that gets stocked regularly, good choc too, kisess, snikers, those hersey "treasures" all kinds (hard candy never gets eaten:dunno:) basically, its in a clear jar right at the front desk, available for anyone.
Clean work areas are a plus too, if the office looks disorganized, its going to leave the impression that everyone else is disorganized too.

also can go for other things, , table dancers, etc.  Some accounts may appreciate it, but others may be offended, or even dislike the image that it may convey, even if they themselves aren't offended.
Good example :

What really makes my day better at work, is having your super, dept manager, or the boss, saying, " Hey you did a good job!" or "how can we improve things around here!"   Sometimes it's about the simple things, like that you care about your employees!  Yeah, it's easy to throw down some pizzas and donuts, and still get to write it off!  But, trying to improve the quality of the work enviroment is more important!  Just my  :twocents:
