tranny removal????

trying to pull my transmission in my 84 toy pu 4x4. the bolts on top of the bell housing are difficult to get to. even when the tranny is dropped down. any ideas on how to get these last two bolts out? thanx.

my truck had a bodylift and i jsut reached down and slowly turned with a ratchet....

my truck hasnt always had a bl though, and when i dropped the tranny before, i actually used a wobble on a ratchet with 3 feet of combined extensions, basically at an angle to where i was near the driveshaft

you can get them with a wrench from the top,but a wobble socket would work better
87 4runner 350 with custom dent package.

17 mm universal socket and a loooong extension.

We use a snap on 1/2" to 3/8" extension 36" long.
1980 Toyota - 1997 3RZ-FE 2.7l Engine, Turbo R151F 4.31:1, Triple Turbo Marlin Crawler Billet (2.28x4.70x4.70) = 1,148:1 Crawl Ratio, Marlin Crawler Twin Stick and Short Throw Shift Kits, 30mm H/D Output Shaft, High Angle Drive Lines, 5.29:1, ARBs, High Pinion Front, 25mm HD Billet High Steer Kit, 6 Pin Locking Hub Bodies, 86+ Wide Rear End, V6 3rd member, Chromolly Axles all around, 37" IROKs with Beadlocks, York onboard air - Rollbar air tank, Premier Power Welder, Marlin Crawler 4" USA-made Leaf Springs, Bilstein Shocks, et cetera....

i used a bunch of extensions put together with a wobble in the middle and a knuckle on the end.  that way it would sort of arc over the top of it.

i usually do the wrench from the top method
