tranny removal
« on: Jan 25, 2007, 10:44:28 AM »
I'm pulling the tranny out of my 87 runner and was wondering if its possible to unbolt the tranny from the bellhousing instead of taking everything off in one piece?
Any helpful hints would be appreciated as I'm new to toyota's
 Thanks

you cant take the bellhousing off of the tranny if they are connected in the vehicle.... the bellhounsing bolts to the tranny with bolts that are only accessible through the bellhousing.. meaning the bell cant have an engine still bolted to it....
