ok good news I got it running tonight.  After a day long headache we finally figured out what was wrong.  BAD INJECTORS.  This morning we new we had fuel but couldn't get any spark.  After a 30 min phone call and a number us test on the wires we found a bad circut in the wireing harness and tapped in with a jumper to get power to the coil.  Then we had spark no fireing.  With fuel going into the throttle body we could get it to idle for a few seconds but obviously that wasn't working.  So eventually I just gave up and tried to find some new injectors.  THAT SUCKED.  with prices ranging from $40 to $90 EACH I just couldn't find enough injectors.  I called around to every parts place in town that i thought would have them.  I could only find 1 here or 1 there.  The dealerships only had 1 a piece.  (why would you only have just one, thats like having only 1 spark plug available).  I finally at 6:30 decided to call up Schucks and Auto Zone. Amazingly Schucks had 5 and Auto Zone had 1.  So I was in luck.  Thankfully Schucks price was lower at $62 a piece and I get a 10% because I'm a student.  After spending over $400 for stupid injectors it finally runs.  Once I got them in and tightened everthing up it ran like a charm.  I got a couple more things before the engine is ready to go but at least it seems to be running fine.

So tomorrow will be the mad dash to get it on the trailer and head out for MCR5.  I'll try to update whether or not I leave tomorrow on here.  Hope to see you guys in a couple days.

sick why not run 49" then?  there is a dude I see at the con with a samurai buggy on dana 44s that runs 49" iroks in the winter and he said that it floats if he trys to drive through deep enough water and that he hasnt broke anything with them yet
i had a sammy   with 44's it would float  the front  was lower in the water

well I am back in washington now and need to fix the hose problem.  We decided not to run the rubicon by ourselves with that problem happening but I was really glad that i got to meet a few of you guys.  We will deffinatly be back next year and be there early enough to actually wheel.

gotrocks

update.

we took it up wheeling yesterday and one the way down to the trailer after a fun day of wheeling and the scariest thing happend.  THE TIRE AND WHEEL CAME OFF.  it was dark and we were just going down the road then BAM and all of a suddon the tire came into the headlight and went flying by us and hit the bank and flew up about 30 to 40 feet in the air and dissapeared out of sight into a field of 4 foot grass.  now ealier this week and noticed that my lug nuts were a little loos and so before we went up yesterday and I know how to tighten lug nuts obviously so I still can't understand why they would've come loose.  Anyhow after some searching we found the studs and 1 lug nut.  So we stole 3 more from the other wheels.  I hope that my wheel is ruined but it is hogged out a little.

I take some pictures and post them up when i get it back home.  Currently my buggy is at my buddies house and the superduty is in the shop getting the turbo replaced.

Hyena

i had that happen towing about 6,000 pounds of wood on an 18 foot trailer.  we didn't even know the tire fell off.  the driver said he felt the truck shimmy a little but we never saw the tire either.  my boss was behind us and saw the tire come off.  it went dead right and hopped a fence i guess.  all the lugnuts on the passenger rear were broken.

gotrocks

the wierd thing was we didn't break any studs and we were able top put lug nuts on 4 of the 5 studs we found.

:yikes: YIKES!  :sheerterror: how fast was u goin?

wow that is weird, maybe think about putting some lock washers on.

never heard of that happening, I had a buddy break a C-clip on his CJ going down Ice house in his Jeep.. lost the wheel.. axle and everything.. dug the axle into the asphalt and spun the rig around.. needless to say he almost sh** himself but everything worked out thankfully.

i had the driver rear come off at about 75 no load on it but it's kinda weird when you are driving and you see you tire fly by you.

I can't take the credit because I had this chassis and suspension built for me, but hey thanks anyway.  Someday I hope to be able to build chassis and suspensions like SN Fab too

well I've got my wedding as well in December and so the rest of this year is pretty much taken up with that.  And school for us takes up a lot of our time so probably next summer might be the next opportunity that I really get to come back to Cali.  I would love to make it down to the Binder jambo but I don't know if school/married life that soon will work.  We will be in Colorado for Thankgiving break and I'm taking the buggy there for a couple days of fun.  I hope that I might be able to sqeeze in Moab possibly for a day on the way down or back.  My Fiance's grandparents only live 1 1/2 hours away from Moab so it makes for a good excuse to wheel.  But just let me know when you guys  are going to do something around next summer and we will try to plan ahead for it.

gotrocks

here's a flex pic I found on my phone I thought I'd show you guys.  Trust me its more impressive in person but its an idea of how well it flexes out.

Shamb

you havn't gotten any skins on that yet??

no school started and I haven't had time to yet.  Don't worry its on my to do list but now that I'm building a runner for blackdiamond my time is kinda spread out over that wedding plans and school, and rebuilding a 22re that I toasted earlier this year.  Right now the project is kinda on hold but will start again very shortly.  The snow is going to fly soon and Its going to get some type of inclosure for the winter wheeling trips.

Shamb

how's that D44 shaft holding up for a front driveline??
