haha updates.  You'd think by now I'd have something to share but I haven't been home long enough in the last 3 weeks to do anything.  I really want to get something done and get out wheeling soon but just can't seem to get any time.  The rig is torn apart though right now and sitting on jackstands.  I hope to get a wheeling trip in July sometime and head down to the rubicon area in September for either the roundup or sometime before possibly.

gotrocks DID YOU FALL OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH??

Thats the plan.  I can't wait to actually really get to flex it muscles out.  I haven't' really found many areas where its been a challenge yet.

that hill in which you rolled twice. wasn't a challenge?
Jeep

gotrocks

no the hill I rolled on was not a hard hill.  I should've been able to make it up that without to much trouble.  I was just being stupid and over confident.

Update:

I know I know...I never seem to get anything done on my own vehicle.  The whole rubi trip fell though on me and right now I don't have the time or money to make it down there.  I promise I will get down there and go wheeling some day shamb.

Right now I have been doing a cage for a friend of mine in his jeepster commando and it has been taking up a lot of my time.  Not only am I building a cage but  complete rear floor out of aluminum and its all getting tig welded.  TIG is beautiful but very time consuming.  I'll get some pictures posted sometime of the project just to show you guys.  So far working 12-14 hour days starts to get a little tiring and doesn't' give me much time to get anything done on mine but when we get his done its his turn to do some work for me and rewire the buggy.

We plan on going to Moab for Thanksgiving and I should finally be able to do some real wheeling.  Right now I'm in Denver visiting the in-laws and its killing me knowing how much wheeling is around here and I can't do it.  Oh well.

The buggy should look different.  Check back randomly within the next couple months.  It should be completely done.

gotrocks

Heres some recent wheeling pictures from Moab.  We had a blast down there even though we only got to wheel 2 days.  I flipped twice and hydrolocked the motor the first day.  After that happened I bent a push rod and the motor didn't run right the second day.  But I really didn't care I was down there to have fun.  Hopefully now I can get the hood and grill on soon.

Oh yeah and I somehow screwed up my third tranny now.  I don't get whats happneing but I have to rip it apart again to work on the tranny.  Thankfully I'm getting pretty good at pulling it all apart.  I have to finish my wifes truck though before I can work on the buggy again.

I little flex action before I loaded it up.

These are from the Moab rim trial

A few more

This flop was actually happen when my mother-in-law was with me.  She thought it was fun and said she'd do it again.

good to see you back on here man!

Thanks.  I've been so insanely busy lately with College and married life I haven't had much time to get on the board or work much on my rig.  If I have time I'm usually just working on the buggy, my wifes Tacoma or working on getting my business setup.  Hopefully I can get the buggy completely finished one of these days and stop working on projects of my own and just wheel.

Oh I know.  But I want to get the big things done on my to do list.  Like finish the body and paint.  I've already torn the buggy down completely this last time and repainted it before I put the side panels on.  This is its second paint job and I haven't even put the hood or grill on.  I even have them already narrowed and have bondo on them.

oh but here is some updates that I did on the buggy this last tear down.

-8 Rock lights
-Stereo with wakeboard cans (4 speakers)
-Heated seats (for the wife when we snow wheel)
-Side lexan panels that will get a body rap style vinyl with my company logo
-Temporary windshield

Soon to have
-Hood
-Grill
-Headlights
-Better windshield
-Air bumps (someday)
-Soft Jeep style sides for really cold winter days
-Winshield wipers (again for snow runs)

I got some top secret stuff happening to the buggy.  I can't talk right now.   :nope:

Check back periodically and I might post up some teaser shots. :sly:

A few people know what I'm doing but I want to keep it under wraps.  Trust me it will be worth the wait.

gotrocks

In the mean time here are some recent wheeling shots.  I've got more but this is all I can find right now.  I finally got my transmission gremlins killed and the tranny is working awesome finally after 5 transmissions.

and since its my thread I'm going to hijack and put in my budget beater truck.

If you want a hint on the new buddy project, I'll just say that the pickup is going to be getting a donation from the buggy.

BTW this isn't me driving.  I let a buggy take it up wheeling with us because he was visiting for the weekend and didn't have anything to drive.

THK Matt

damn your buggy and beater look badass.

and what's this "buddy project" you speak of..
